I'm an ex-airsofter myself. Used to play it when I was in NZ. Very fun. Although we were kids, some of us went to the extend of camouflaging ourselves and hide among the foiliage, sniping away

I know something about those games in HK from a friend of mine. If you have any particular questions, I can ask him the next time I see him on MSN Messenger

Just wondering whats da average effective range for sniper rifles? And what ammo they use? Saw a clip, looks like a airsoft competition in China. Lol. Just like army days.. didnt even know abt this game, though can only play this game in army.

I played alot back in UK, and owned a few. A couple of spring pistol Marui's but got serious and invested in an AEG MP5 PDW. Played skirmish with it back there.

To be honest, no point playing in Singapore. It is rubbish, cost so damn expensive, cheaper to fly up to thailand and play. Plus the skirmish arena is like sh*t, looks like they made a playground into a shooting range.

As for sniper rifle airsoft guns, there are only a few on the market, Tokyo Marui's only one back then was the H&K PSG1 or precizion shutze gehwer 1. Fired it once, accuracy about the same as other AEG guns, up to about 30-50m. zeroing the sights also won't get you a good shot as wind factor does a lot to a .20-.25g BB pellet we normally use. But recently, Marui brought out a new series, wooden or synthetic stock bolt action rifle, not bad, but again as I say, in a Airsoft situation, a sniper rifle is as useful as a long piece of string as people are using high rate of fire weapons like the M4, or the MP5 which is one of the most popular. And to survive, you need something with a similar rate of fire to be able to suppress and "repel". Cheaper versions would be one made by Maruzen. But over the years, many small japanese companies like Tanaka, and others have brought out sniper rifles like the M14 with scope rail, L96A1, M40A1, Mauser Kar98 with scope rail, and my personal favorite, the M82A1 .50cal.

Hope this has helped! Sorry if some of the info is not so accurate as it is all pulled out of my head!!!

Cheers

Thanks! Great info.

But i'm very sure da effective range is much more further. Seen video clips of airsoft players shooting at his mate at abt 100m or more. And his mate got HIT! Lol and he shout HIT! HIT! in pain.

Ya agreed with you, in Singapore its point-less to play this game. Guess everyone will just reply saying, "airsoft?" Join army better.

Tough physical training and sh*t work(LOADS OF IT) looks like a package for joining "Army".

But "airsoft" from what i see, its just like having fun and and fun. (no cleaning of arms, area cleaning, cleaning of vehicles, no punishment no nothing) Just plain fun.

In Sillypore, *sign* too bad. But would like to go HK during holiday to meet some of airsofter.

Guys, take a look at youtube.com for airsoft. LOL. fun

Hmmm, that is possible, but in a real skirmish, hitting a opponent at 100m plus not really possible, although with paintball it is easier at the paintball projectiles have a greater fall of shot. And they are heavier projectiles...

I got no idea abt it.

Thanks!

oops, saw this too late. Anyway, here's the answer. The China-made guns doesn't have much range as the Japanese-made ones. I think the China-made guns can go about 100m accurately without putting hop ups and modifying the motor.

The ammo they use are plastic 6mm pellets.
