Am new here, just stumble upon this website. Currently taking my class2B after i last stop my lesson 10years ago..

 

Not trying to promote MLM but am seriously thinkin of going into so wants to hear from people in here about MLM.. Cheers

 

Well, my mother was seriously into it. I am her downline and at supervisor level.

 

Dont ever expect to earn big bucks, but keep yourself realistic that its a sales job, you learn some, you earn some and you will probably lose some.

 

Do it part time,learn their skills but dont be presurrise into performing and selling stuffs that wont fetch a penny with the general public and you will be safe.

 

Do what wildcard wife did, join because you have some need of the discount of the product you wanted, but not to expect it to give you lots of money & friends.

my friends & i earned back our so-called 'investment' & stopped there.

 

i'm working pt-time in SLS now.

recently, met a customer who offered mi a job, claiming pay can hit 5-6k per mth.

but did not wan to tell mi the exact job scope, onli a date & time for an 'interview' dun even tell mi the actual address.

i rejected when i saw his name card, i'm much more senior than him in his 'company'

no doubt mlm can earn big bucks. every business also can if you put time and effort into it. but anyone in the right mind will not walk the thin line of going into mlm. risk is higher then return

I got a friend who use to be close and now his into MLM , he become so arrogant and even try to lure me in his trap but i'm not into this stupid way of making money.. This MLM really make friends become foes.. He is like hypnotise by MLM pioneers.. Pity those people who fell in their trap.. Say NO to 'MLM' .

All of this is very interesting. I would seriously like to go and check out one of these talks. I have never been for one. I have enough presence of mind to reject them but would really like to analyse their "persuasion strategies", how they use the concept of pleasure vs pain, and language patterns to entice the person to join in.

 

After all, this shall be a good learning experience for me and new stories for me to tell when I conduct my trainings in corporates.

 

They must sound very convincing and it would be good to give it a listen and see their strategy. Anyone know where i can get hooked up?

Just to share my exp after my O level. I USED to have a friend who borrowed $$$ just to buy his own product so that he can "promote" faster.

 

The reason he used to borrow $$$ is that his grandmother is in hospital, need to pay the bill which is actually not the case... Imagine cursing his own grandmother....

 

He first started out borrow $$$ from friends who are close, including me and the amount he asked is $800. After that nego to $500>$200>$100>$80. Luckily I did fall for it.

 

Next, he would expand his "borrowing" network by approaching sch mates that do not know personally. He would approach them and start a conversion by saying: "You are a friend of my friend right, I am in need of $$$ and blah blah blah."

 

The best part is my friend who do not know him before, had approach me to ask me to take back the $$$ for her which is not successful as he had already change his contact number and move out from his home.

 

Just to add, part of the "Borrowed" funds are also used to groom himself. Nice suits, expensive pens and watches.

They make money through having huge profit margins. otherwise, there just wont be enough "meat"for everyone.

 

 

eg. magnetic mattress (cost $100 , sales price $2000, $1000 goes to top line, $500 to second line, $200 to third line etc...)
