Aiyah... this Malaysia ah....

VEP effective was announced on 02 Jun 2016. (CNA: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/vehicle-entry-permit-in/2838332.html)

I drove my car in on 03 Jun 2016 via 2nd Link. No mention of VEP.

I rode my bike in on 05 Jun 2016 via Causeway. No mention of VEP.

Alamak! Simi VEP??

(P.S. I did not wilfully enter Msia without registering for VEP. Just found out about this VEP requirement effective 02Jun only AFTER I've made the 2 entries.)

A mid-lifer who started late on the motorised 2-wheeler game. Currently riding a 200NS - with a P-plate.

I rode through the SG-JB border on the morning of 20June - the last known supposed start date of the VEP "trial". No mention of VEP at all. It was a smooth entry.

now is trial stage only. Collection of VEP charges of RM20 per entry via "touch n go" start on 15 July. We are given till end of this year to register.

Not clear if above applies for cars only or include bikes.

NOWADAYS , npbody knows whats going in with malaysia wanting we to rgioster our vehicles with the them. when it was first started many singaporean quickly wanted to register their vehicles. then their websites kept hanging. i tried many times to enter the websites to chang my bike particular but now i gave up.

for bikes , they is no VEP payment. you need to pay toll for entry at gelang patah. RM1.10 and singapore tuas $0.50 to and from. woodland -- free for both.

nowadays at our expressway, you will see at signboard saying singapore vehicles please bring your road tax form and insurance copy. very important. oooo, bring your licence-- original. that day i kena. anyhow stop me. security stand infront with rifle and then the immigration officer ask me my licence. wahhhh. never in my 20plus years go in, a police stand infront suddenly with rifle across his chest stopping me. I thougt what if this guy suddenly shoot like you hear in the news thats going on in malaysia
