ya,juz the name to make it shiok as its mak in india.Haha....They invent R15 wif fuel injection aft our Fz150i.So nw they cum out wif a Fz16 wif such engine.And call it Lord.....Technology go bkwards.So u tnk fz16 worth to buy??Even our fz150i engine is better den tat.

fr those who hv prob w their injector...d best solution is 2 send fr "ultrasonic injector treatment" ...u may do it at 1 of bike shop at kaki bukit..but i'm not sure watz d shop name...

i got used to clean d injector by injector cleaner...&i'm using STP super concentrated injector cleaner (black btl) every 5000-8000km....

but 1 rumour said dat injector cleaner does not clean injector 100% as it juz clean d location dat petrol can go thru only....

"ultrasonic" treatment is quite expensive, but it'l satisfy u as consumer :)

So far i use my bike for more than 1 year. No problem oso? Maintenance normal Mthly only. Every month change engine oil, spark plug and oil filter.

Its not a must to use the cleaner. Its optional.. My gf have been riding this bike for 2years plus already. Jus change eo and filter and spark plug. I, myself wonder how magical this bike is at times

yeah...2 add with d cleaner every 5-8K km is optional...not a must...if u dun want to add d cleaner,juz make sure u pump caltex at least a full tank fr every 9 full tanks (or at least once every 5000km) ...cz caltex is d best fuel dat cleans fuel system&engine...no matter Ron 95 or 97 or 98...

itz not a trouble 2 add d cleaner...juz buy it at any car spare part shop at JB, u can get abt RM18 per btl (d model dat i'm using)...dun wanna go JB,at mustafa oso have...

1 btl can use fr 4-5 times ...so worth it...fr me,as i owez go fr long distance & owez speed more thn 8.5K rpm, itz important fr me 2 make sure overall condition of d bike is in tip top condition..as so,i hv 2 pump caltex at least once every 9 full tanks & apply injector cleaner...1 application juz cost RM4.50 ...

sooo,if u apply once every 9 full tanks, datz meant it cost only RM4.50/9 full tanks (if 1 btl use fr 4 applications) = RM0.50 only per full tank....

fyi....fr motorbikes...FI is considered new& only few bikes equipped w it...

but,present cars almost all are using FI ...FI recquired good care 2 make sure dat it works well....

u may google abt FI informations & u'l understand more abt FI ...

if u say FI is not good, thn watz d reason most present cars using FI?? even my future car (WRX STi) oso using FI ....hehehe

FI pro & cons>Pro:Easy start,Better acceleration/Mid range as fuel is directed.Superb when combined with great Torque power.The Cons:Need extensive servicing/Darn if injector is clogged.Some cases need replacement.The cost of the injector itself.Some FI vehicle need computerised tuning.

Carburettor>Pro:Easy maintenance,Easy to tune,Easy to service.Great top speed.Cons:Acceleration is not that great compared to FI.Tend to consume a bit more fuel compared to FI counterparts for sm=ome vehicles.

ya,bike shop tel me juz cre for eo,plug and oil filter.Even i went hong leong svc,they juz tel mi chg eo oni coz plug and oil filter no ned chg till certain mileage.Their advice is ez going bike and take note if meter red light is activated.ride it bk to em to rectify coz its sensor link all prob to it.

Hi Bro SKG. My coolant level is coming down slowly after travelling for abt 1 year plus on this bike. So if the coolant level reach LOW level what should i do? Have to do Flushing or just Top up coolant only? Sorry this one is my 1st liquid cooled bike. Previously i rode all the Air cooled engines.

The FZ16 has a lower compression ratio than R15, FZ150i.

FZ16 9.5: 1

R15 10.4 : 1

FZ150i 10.4 :1

 

Personally i prefer a higher compression ratio motorcycle.

Update abt tyre dat i'm using (FKR) ...dun buy it ....it eats very fast...i juz used it fr 4500km, but thread left only abt 37%....

aft dis i'll buy Maxxis tyre lah..can last long fr rear tyre..abt 18K km...

ya,its 10000km/h.Coz plug wont spoil ez.juz tak out brush away the carbon can liao.but for us its better to chg all the 3 thing when we go svc our bike so u no ned keep track on tis and there.as we use for tpt cant afford break dwn smewher.plug,eo,oil filter.done.

Ya i tried already clean my previous spark plug. Still cannot make it la. Same. Waste time and effort only. Change plug is better.

$200 is too expensive bro...T900 is not last long as maxxis...at m'sia, T900 is cheaper than Maxxis...Maxxis is better grip in any road condition...even snake roads r grippy enuf.. 80/90 front only RM85 or 90/80 RM130 fr rear... fr paying RM85, u can use fr more thn 65K km(wat i expect)...now my front maxxis tyre still got 35% thread while i had used it fr almost 50K km!! impressive rite! fr rear tyre,i'd used b4...&last fr 19K km....worth it rite??

 

bro rxz,u neva changed ur coolant fr 1 yr rite??itz d time fr u 2 change it...it is recommended to change fr every 15K-20K km...fyi,i'm using xtra cheap coolant, but excellent type...using Maxima Coolaid Concentrated...1 bottle of 1pint (ard 470ml) can use fr 10-13 applications...datz meant i can use it fr 150K km to 260K km...juz SGD15 per btl... if u wanna use concentrated coolant, u have to use Distilled Water...

d best way 2 flush radiator is to mix Distilled vinegar&distilled water by ratio of 1:1...but b4 anyting,u'v to flush out old coolant 1st..than u may proceed w d vinegar formula...aft d radiator is full w d formula,idle d bike fr abt 15min & thn flush it out ...thn,clean inner radiator w distilled water till no residue of d "formula" left...thn,add coolant till full ...whn u juz changed new coolant,sometimes u'l notice dat coolant level in d radiator or in xtra coolant tank will drop fr 1st 500km...itz normal...wat u'v to do is juz add coolant in d xtra coolant tank if d coolant level goes down...

fyi,i learnt d "formula" of DIY coolant flush frm big bike forum...datz d safest way to flush d radiator as car radiator flush r corrosive fr bikes (thr's no radiator flush specified fr bike in d market) ...hope dis will help u :)

fr oil filter,itz highly recommended to change every 2 engine oil change...

s.plug, depends on type...like mine, i'd used NGK iridium CR9??? fr abt 33K km oredy &it is still working well...d only thing i do is to clean every 15-20K km...

Iridium can last fr abt 80K-100K km...

rxz...i'd done modification of air filter box..wow!d acceleration is better :)

wanna know abt it?go m'sian fz150i forum &type&search fr "jimat nak taw" &click on d 1st search result...thr got picture how to mod d air filter box...juz use plastic funnel dat may b used fr eo change...but u'v to do some "cut&paste" work lah...fr more info,read dat forum..my nick thr is "saif_ahliquran"...

want my guidance on how 2 do it?we may meet on 4th-6th march...i'l b in spore..p/s : my 0-100kmh max torque result on flat road is 10.3sec ...vry fast rite??hehehe :D

wow bro,you certainly hv alot exp on tis bike.Tks for all the info cos i also trying figure out our bike by reading on the web.My stock bike for the first tme aft running in,i hit 140 km//hr.But nw its getting to 125 to 130 km/hr.Is tis normal.the gd part is the stable of the bike in high speed is damm gd.nt shakey and wont wobbling.its juz fly straight.tat wat really i like of tis bike with confident.
