I am same as your height and I can ride the Bajaj Pulsar which is more bulky than FZ150i and I feel very comfortable with it. Mine one foot touches down fully another foot only half. Imagine the scrambler riders

If this kind of posture i know for Single rider can make it bro. As for my case i always pillion my gf. Then the weight becomes more already. So a bit more difficult to manage. I was wondering maybe if i change to smaller size tyres would it help it to lower the bike height? Presently is front 90/80 and Back 100/80. If i change to front 80/90 and back 90/80 will it be lower??

Change your back tyre to ??/70 as it will lower your bike.Eg 100/70 or 110/70 or etc...as long as the back number is small.

check ur tyre pressure... under or over pump can cause such vibrations.. gloves help with comfort and grip but if vibrations are more than normal, u might wanna check the bike...

also, relay ur elbows when u ride... grip the bike with ur thighs n see if the vibration goes away... u might be leaning too much on ur handlebars

Already check with Yamaha Agent.Infd that the vibration is from the engine. He quote that Spark engine also vibrating. If 150cc will have more vibration.Suggest to change to a synthetic(thinner type oil) to reduce the vibration.Furthermore the FZ150i have no damper for the front handle. Also can change the seat cushion to reduce yout butt vibration after travelling long.

Hi Dag. Not too sure.

My tyres setup is Front 90/80 and Back tyre is 100/80. Is it too big?

Bro... You want can try mine. Cos mine both 90/80. Cornering is still comfy also

Hi bro. Thanks for your reply. I appreciate that. I would be trying Dag's bike first. See how first. If suit then maybe i change tyres.

Due for servicing and oil change @ HL. Already 2600km since last oil change. Using their Yamalube Semi-Synthetic. Feels quite rough now. Think that's the main cause right now.

2600km? Wow. So far already bro. It's double Due already. Our bikes use 1 litre only. Usually the tell tale sign of when to change engine oil is the rough feeling and noisy than normal when riding the bike.

One more thing not all oil are the same. Some can tahan more mileage some isn't. Go and change your engine oil and feel the difference with new fresh oil. Yeehhaa..

Well, it's all boils down to individual performance. Whether you want Performance or Mileage.

When u choose Performance, u'll get less Mileage.

When u choose Mileage, u'll get less Performance.

Theres no such thing as both bro.

OWS Syntholite 10W40 also i tried it before already. Well my opinion? Is not the Best but can use la.

Bel Ray i haven try. Maybe you can try and post a review here for us? I heard Bel Ray Thumper 10W40 is good for single cylinder engines. Maybe you could try that?

I thought that EO change is every 3000km. Not easy to book servicing with HL. Still got 1 final free servicing with them.

Like i said previously this one is base on individual preference. For me i like slick and smooth. Noisy and the gear hard to change or Neutral gear difficult to find i change engine oil already. I usually DIY at my workplace cause i got all the tools required(include drain pan) including changing the oil filter which is the T spanner also have. Hehe.

hi guys, i read honda tiger and this fz 150. compare with these 2 bikes, what are the pros n cons? :)

Tiger using carb, and quite rare.Seldom see on the roads. Not sure whether parts will be expensive or hard to find.

Fz150i is using fuel injection. Fuel consumption is good, abt 40km per liter. Easy to maintain, doesn't give much problems. But theres not much to modify if you like to zhng the bike.

Looks wise, I think fz150i looks better.

Pro and Cons?

Honda Tiger Only in Singapore Model. Malaysia don have so if breakdown die die have to repair in Singapore.

Yamaha FZ150i Singapore have malaysia also have. If u not enough budget can go JB repair if spoilt. Spare parts availability also abundant in Malaysia.

Think about it bro.

I get the original Tyre specs for our bike already.

Front is 2.75 @ 80/90

Back is 90/90

So i think my tyres are over than that. I think stick to stock settings is the best.

Honda Tiger is 200cc but compression ratio only 9. FZ150i is 150CC but compression ratio is 10.4. So powerwise Tiger is 16.7PS vs FZ150i 15PS. But weight of Fz150i is only 114Kg vs Tiger 137Kg.

So performancewise FZ150i has better power to weight ratio and top speed. But Tiger due to it weight should feel more solid on the road. Similar to Honda NSR SP vs Honda Super 4.

Higher compression ratio for FZ150i means need to use higher RON petrol. Tiger can use RON 92.

The FZ150i is really an advanced bike with liquid cooled engine and FI vs Honda Tiger which is old school, both has its pros and cons.

Looks wise I prefer the Tiger. FZ150i looks way too thin and can be confused for a cub in some angles. The biggest problem with the Tiger though is that it is not being marketed well so hardly any on the road. You may have trouble reselling it.
