I have my very bad experience with Guan Hoe today.

I went for my second servicing and left after paying. I head toward CTE and felt something is wrong with my bike and therefore i stop by the road side to check. I have got the stock of my life, there is no cap on the engine opening. My leg and bike is wet with engine oil.

For I do not know how much of engine oil has left, I do not dare to ride further on for I fear to damage the engine.

I got no choice but to tow back to Guan Hoe which is close by then.

I seriously regretted going to them and will advise all to think twice or double check after each servicing.

Thumb down for Guan Hoe..

Best to let him elaborate...

But I followed his case.

In summary, even LAB mechanic knows not to use 4L of EO when its clearly stated at the engine & manual to use 3.5L with filter change.

I got a feeling his case & MoNsTer^'s case are related.

I've had a case of blown oil cap before and it was my fault (overfilling EO).

Dear All,

I have got back my bike. Earlier in the morning, we went to Guan Hoe. THere are total 3 persons working in the work shop, an old aunty, an old uncle and a young guy in his mid 20/30s.

The person who service my bike in the young clap.

The moment I reached there, the aunty quickly walk up to me and mentiioned they have been looking up and down for me after i left their shop and after they realised my engine cap is still in the shop.

THe aunty claimed she tried tracking me by tracking my bike to the bike shop. As my bike have been through a few bike shop and therefore they dint manage to get hold of me

As for the mech, he quickly hop onto his bike and went around the area trying to get hold of me but of coz he dint managed to as I have turned into my work place carpark which is 2 min ride away.

They replace the engine oil and wash the bike for me. They kept us waiting for an hour before working on my bike but during this period, they offer us drinks.

For the following 2 reasons I did not ask for the tow and taxi claim:

1) its also my fault that i did not check before leaving

2) what happen if the young clap got some gang outside and he ask pple to disturb my bike.

Plus they did not push the fault away and did make an effort to track me and apologise.

Althought I have waste some money for tow and taxi, some sleeping time as i got to woke up early to take bus and a sleepless nite due to worry and stress, I am quite happy with the ending, at least i know i did not offend anyone and my bike is safe.

Still this will be my very last visit to them

I dun quite agree its ur fault tat u dint check. It shld be their responsibility since a customer has put his/her trust on that shop/mechanic.

anyway, gd luck

No more regrets.

Hmm..

Tats good.

At least they are willing to admit its their fault and supposedly made an effort to track you down.

Guess my fren's earful at them changed some things.

But I'm still not visiting them unless there's a recall or warranty claim.

I'm sorry to go against this but i hope this is regard as an advice and not to hit anyone.

Seems to me its just an act of negligence but towards both parties. U for not checking it and them for not doing it properly. Understood that its within their care but its individual responsibility to ensure their own treasures. Cant say that its bad just by havin a bad run in for e 1st time. Imagine this is your friend and he/she servicing for ya and did the same mistake. k la. fren fren. But just for that 1 time e coy was shot? i dun agree. I am not biased towards the company but such recommendations should be thoroughly figured out before putting it down on the web, for this matter.

They actually came back to u with all sorts of reasons, from what u type. I believe they are trying to make up for it. its not always u get bikeshop to go such lengths. Remember, to err is human. Just my 2cts worth.

Hi,

I had bad experience at Guan Hoe too and seriously will not go there again. As suzuki agent and charging exorbitant prices, not up to my expectations. Hope this helps someone who is thinking of going there.

Cheers
