Hi, I owned a R1150R here.... but trying to sell off soon.... never tried scooters so going for it next...

Hiya, scooters are wonderful. Easy to ride, plenty of storage and great for city squeezing. The bigger ones shld get you north without problems too. If you need a good scooter mech, I can recommend one.

Got my 1 Jan 2008 passport chop ... will plan a Koh Samui ride this year.

Cheers

Before you sell the wonderful bike, you should consider joining the guys for this month's Breakfast ride.

Maybe you will change your mind and keep the lovely roadster.

bumps for this thread... hope to keep this thread alive... :p

Guess our population for Roadster is too small...

It's not the miles per hour you go; It's the smiles per mile you get

I have been there, done that....frankly I do not enjoy rides with BMWMCS. I still love my perfect condition Roadster, just that with 2 cars at home, my wife will nag me non stop if I get another bike...

Sorry to know that. A couple of my friends also feel that way about BMWMCCS rides.

Nagging wife....same here.

My wife who is a wonderful housewife made a big deal when I bought my 1150R. When I bought 1200RT, I bought her an expensive Nikon camera to make peace.

But alas...the nagging continues.

The old guys (local & caucasians) are generally helpful and friendly.

As the Breakfast ride is only half a day, it gives you a chance to mingle as well as learn first hand from fellow owners about their bikes and rides without being commited to spending a long time together.

When I attend the first Breakfast ride, I did not know anyone. My bike was the oldest and I was the least experienced, but a few of them were extra friendly and make me feel welcome.

I only join them for the half day ride to keep in touch. Usually, when I travel further (ie overnight trips), I normally go with close friends.

If you are interested, you can join me for this month's Breakfast ride.

Please take note that you have to be in full gear. Minimum riding jackets, riding pants, boots, glove and helmet.

Noted ... they are ok with non-members? Maybe I will stalk you guys .. keke

27 January 2008, a date to note. What time at GP1?

When I bought my RT12, I was lucky... it was my wife who encourged me ... and I didn't have to buy her anything ...

Anyway I'm quite interested in the Breakfast Ride ... keep me updated

Haha, guess it is obvious who wears the pants in my house.

The last ride, which was led by the club president covered a distance of approx 300km (within Johore). We did break for a meal as well as spend a little time at a secluded beach.

I do not know the next ride leader. So it will be a refreshing surprise where he will lead us.
