Driving in Malaysia

Hi Guys

 

need your advise on this, i be posted to malaysia for 3 months on work. Company will give me car to drive.. However, can SG licence drive malaysia car?

 

cos i don wan go there everyday to treat them la kopi leh~

 

any1 got any idea can share share?? thanks in advance!

Can, Singapore license is international driving license.. But you got to check the insurance,see excess how much..

in short. Possible. Besides it costs only RM 10 to add your name into an existing policy.

 

p.s, if you get the work permit card, just show the cops that. Usually they will let you go

There isn't such a thing as an "International Driving Licence". If you need to drive overseas, get a International Driving Permit (IDP). The IDP must be used in conjunction with your Singapore Driving Licence.

 

Although in some countries, such as parts of Australia, Bali, thailand, they do accept Singapore Driving Licence. Nevertheless, things can can messy in an accident if you do not possess a IDP which cost only $20.
