I would like to thank all riders who rendered help today-Simon Soh and Richard for co-ordinating, all the riders who endured the long distances to recover her bike, those who rendered first aid, David for escorting me to NUH, and KY for riding down to render help at NUH and both of them for bringing her bike from petronas to a repair shop. If not for all your prompt assistance and kindness I would not have been able to send my gf Debbie to NUH so quickly and we would have had to tow her bike.

She had a rare tankslapper on a dry, straight road at 130+km/h. There was no sand, debris or oil as I was riding in front of her and David was behind her. We are still trying to understand what could have caused this accident. She was holding a constant throttle on the left lane when it happened.

Her gear took most of the damage. Apart from some road rash and a deep abrasion on her knee which will require further treatment tmr, there are no serious injuries. She is now resting at home.

Debbie and I are both touched and impressed at all the help rendered. Once again, I thank all riders and pillions sincerely, and on behalf of Debbie as well.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

Lesson learnt from this incident, wear protective gear and you will minimize injury. So everyone, be ATGATT (all the gear all the time). It for your own good.

Maybe, paintball players too, must go ATGATT

i guess we shld never underestimate anyting while touring. This kinda thing juz happens. Its a good thing that she was was wearing proper gear(full face, jacket, gloves) else, it cud have been worse. Her panniers and crash bar oso helped minimize the damages on her S4.

Glad to noe that she has been discharged and resting at home.

Jeff and myself heard abt the accident at GP esso from another rider yesterday. I'm glad that she's ok now. It was really good to bring her back safely and get her bike done. Good job guys.

Btw, I have to thank jeff on a personal note too. I had to head back earlier as I was having terrible headache and weather was a killer. While we both head back after pumping full tank at Ayer Keroh, I hit reserve at 150km. Abt 20km further, jeff's GPS came in handy and we have to exit out (forgot the exit name) and pump again. I had only 1.3L left with GP esso being abt 50-60km away.

Jeff was even willing to pump petrol in his bike and then come back and refill mine if there wasnt any nearby station and no tin can available. I'm very impressed by his help. Once again, thanks jeff.

I find that this group yest was very helpful in many ways. Let's all meet up again for another tour soon. Wish Debbie a peedy recovery and thanks fellas for helping one another in various siatuations. :thumb:
