Chances of a successful appeal

Ran out of fuel in the middle of Lentor a week ago. The LTA warden who took down the details of the car plate and my friends' has now sent me a letter saying i got 3 demerit points for cisco for failing to put a breakdown sign and double yellow line charge. The email i wrote is this. Firstly, it was a rented car, now most cars i rented dont even have a breakdown sign in their boot for god knows why. Second, its my first time experiencing this. Next, the fuel gauge for the car i rented is also screwed, sometimes it jumps up from the red area to 2 bars and sometimes it stays there. The low fuel light doesnt even come on. So guys, any chances of having the offence waived?

dun worry u can still appeal to lta or tp .jus send them a letter and wait for the result.at least urs consider minor case.

oh yah, just make sure you are able to provide the receipt or something like that to prove that the car is indeed rented..

I ever got stop by the then ROV during one of their road blocks few years ago...i was riding a R1 with many modification on the bike including the infamous $500 fine on the endcan....i was brought to a inspection centre at Sin Ming by a ROV officer... waited 2 weeks for the summons to reach my house...i was fined $600 all in all. So i appeal la stating i just bought th bike tis n tat(all the rasons n excuses)...1 week later they send another letter saying tat my appeal had been turned down...so i went to the MP for help la...the MP wrote in and after 3 weeks later i receive a letter saying that i need not pay for the fine liao....so the moral of the story is......MP...MP.....MP....lOOK FOR THEM....we need them as much as they need us.............
