The one at changi is the old version Fp model ... left one only..

Hi Sean, thanks for the graphical description .. esp the chui chui bit.. hahaha ... i can imagine!

 

But I am wondering how it could lead to that ... while it is true that the shoe surfaces are not 100% in contact with the drum surface at full open position when new, but bikes with drum brakes with new shoes doesn't shudders during engagement.

 

The new clutch shoes will just "drag" more due to less than maximum contact and eventually will wear evenly to provide 100% surface contact; and even so, will continue to drag in situations when the scoot is stationery in an upslope position.

 

Anyway, do keep sharing how the shoes wear in after 1000km ... it's educational ... and we all benefit from it!

MORE P E T R O L testing

 

Following my earlier post on petrol brand/rating on performance on my scoot ..

 

Shell 95 top speed : 120km/h

Shell 92 top speed : 115km/h

Esso 92 top speed : between 120 - 125 km/h

 

Conclusion : my scoot's a lot like me, don't like hum (cockles) but like tiger (beer) .... heehee ...

Was quite surprise to see this picture as this was exactly what I had in mind for my bike. Spray white, Ys gear passenger grab rail with back rest, short shield, mirrors, PIAA EL dash, chrome brake handles. Ha, now no need to imagine how it looks as can refer to this Pic. Something else can be done, maybe chrome side stand, bracket for the signals, led brake light set etc etc........

 

 

Too many things to do, too little cash to carry it out.

..heavy customising yo! ... are these Japanese design? ... I like the white one ... just add small red/blue strobes at the front. Turn it on during peak hour and watch traffic part before you .... ahhahahaha ..
