MV F4? ... wah .. super chio ..

The older sprints were never brought in at all. The Triumphs on our roads were Speed Triples, a few Tigers and Daytona 600. It is different now with Bonneville, Rocket, Speed Triple and not sure what else.

The Peg Strada was touching 16K OTR. Ridiculous insurance was like 1.2 for TPFT and 1.8 for Comprehensive!

Ha, 16K only. Wah bike price very good now, I remember bought my steed back in '97 15k brand new, 1k more only quite ok lah. But insurance by who, 1.8k for comprehensive, I must be nuts to even consider that type of rate. I know insurance had up their rate after 911 but 1.8K/1.2K is too much. Motorcycle depreciation also not that much.

Insurance offered by INCOME .. only INCOME underwrites Aprilia I was told .. the Peg Strada looks nice .. the rims .. and I liked the sitting position ..

i guess so only ntuc has insurance for aprillia ..... wonder why ?? anyway i come to realise now that ntuc is not as great as what i thought it is ..... its slow to compensate you when insurance coverage happens

Could be because Aprilla bikes are considered higher risk....

As in:

1) Statistically shown to be higher risk of getting stolen

2) Statistically shown to be higher risk of getting into accidents

Even the smallest spark can start a massive forest fire...

Well in business terms it probably makes sense...

Just like they charge higher insurance premiums for people who are older... and they exclude certain parts of your body which was injured or operated on before because of the risk of re-occurance, etc.

Maybe you can try to advertise in the Garage Sales section? Start a "Want To Buy" thread there, in the Classifieds and also in the sticky scooter sales thread.

That way you can reach a wider audience... cos maybe not all browse through this thread...

Think a lot of Majesty were bought by uncles when it was just launch. Most of them are holding on to it till when they upgrade to something better. I know as some of my friends' father likes to buy 250cc bikes as to them its more powerful than your normal class 2b bikes yet are economical to run.

Have you thought of other 250cc scooters like Forza and Burgman? Just rode my friend's Forza, not bad leh. Accelerates better and corner better than my Majesty and more chio especially at night, like VFR from the rear view mirror. But the only draw backs(to me) are the bike feels quite small and cramp when you are on it. Somemore the switches and controls seems not as comfortable to operate as compared to the majesty(have to strech the thumbs a little to activate the signals and lights). Dash readings are quite difficult as they are really small. Other than those, the bike feels quite ok.

Just received email from chiap lee and they quoted $250 - $300 (depending on colour of box) for the GIVI SR44 rack + E450 box + labour. Worth to install?

The SR44 rack will take 1 month to arrive as the rack is specially for Majesty '00 and above thus got to order. What is the normal range you guys pay to install a box?

Price sounds reasonable to me... considering the fact they have to specially bring in the rack.

Thanks.

Just saw the clssified, a number of E450 are on sale with base plate. Maybe can buy those and ask chiap lee to bring in the rack only. Most probably will save some money.
