got a fren offering me his 6mths old fz6n abs model for 12k

and a bike shop offering me a S1 model for 11.8k OTR

57 kW (77 PS) (76HP) @ 11500 RPM for Standard version,

 

72 kW (98 PS) (97HP) @ 12,000 RPM for S2 version.

 

this is the part i dun understand. is there 2 versions in the market now? so the S1 is pre 2007 version with 2 pot brake calipers rite? and the display console is different too, along with some cosmetic changes.

yup a lot of girls love to kpkb on the height and riding posture of supersport bikes... also seen many of them "CF" (cluster F) together with the rider on the rider seat... i duno how they can tahan it...

i wanna downgrade cos my gf keeps sliding down on me when i brake. my family jewels keeps knocking onto the tank no doubt the R1 is a fun bike. but not dat ballz friendly when u have a pillion.

To be frank, I'm not very sure of it myself too.

 

In terms of sitting posture, it's still quite upright for a 1.7m fella like me, pillion sitting posture wise would be better compare to S1's I believe, as S2's pillion footrest is designed lower than S1's.

last sat evening i went in JB via 1st link, there's a GSXR in front of me with the situation i mentioned...

the female pillion is looking like v uncomfortable...

i'm having the tot of asking her wanna climb over to mine... wahahahaha!

 

anyway, jus joking...

maybe that guy is wearing a balls guard...

from the side, the angle of the steepness is like 30-35 degree!

wa lau eh... i duno how his pillion is feeling when seated behind...

Well, if you wanna retain most of the power of the R1 and have comfort, you can go with the FZ1.

 

I changed from an 04 R1 to an 08 FZ1. Same engine, better ergonomics for street and tour.

 

Actually I did get an FZS600 for about a year in between the 2 bikes. But I found that after riding a literbike for some time, the 600 lacks punch for me. I wanted that instant on-tap acceleration without the need to drop a gear. So I went back to the liter.

 

No doubt, if I'm riding 1-up most of the time, I'll still stick with an R1. To me, it's almost the complete package when it comes to power and handling.... but 2-up, it's the Fazer for me.

i took a ride on my fren's R1 before, no place for me to grab sia! super irritated by that feel.. so bo bianz.. i support myself wit one hand on the lower spine of my fren and another on his shoulders. don like that feel...

That's an ejection lever. Ejection... as in like those fighter jets.

 

Cos if you pull the ejection handle while in flight, like Bruno would.... I will eject you from the moving bike with my elbow to your face. :P

But i think 90% of the time someone pull it, your first reaction will brake..depend on how hard it pull....

but if you really elbow the pillion, you will also eject with him.... as he is still holding to the lever.....
