Hey i thought my bike is the only one doing that man. So best place to go is to unique to set the fuel mixture? Roughly how much will it cost?

How much did you spend for that bro? My bike now more and more often backfiring in the morning but engine breaking standard will have like gurgling backfires i think thats normal coz bigger bikes oso have that.

Needles - $25 each (Changed 2)

Rubber duct - $12 (changed 4)

'Overflow pin' - $15 (Changed 4)

but I now having prob with the 'overflow pin', my fren says its not original.

you free you can have a feel on my bike. sighs.:giddy:

i riding spec 1... does backfireing spoil my engine???

wheather in neutral or in gear?

would backfires spoil ur engines??

Yes..the amount of damage dependent on how far "downstream" the explosion occurs. I have read in other forum of riders having exhaust valves bent by backfires caused by air leaking in at the exhaust ports. A loose muffler can suck in air on decel and make a combustible mix in the pipe. Also if your headers are slightly loose it does too.

Ignition in the intake tract known as "front firing"(detonation prior to the intake valves fully closing) is a lot more serious and needs to be addressed as carbs/EFI/airbox sensors were not designed to handle little booms.

Please note that the above is what I read from other international forums.

Hmmm, me also using stock pipe. Recently also got the back fire problem. Maybe the engine too cold i guess. On the road it works fine. Once i back fire while starting my bike, it give a huge shock to an aunty passing by. Hehehe.... But i act blur....

One more thing guys, backfiring can also happen when your EGR valve not working properly. Just make sure that the filter located above the air filter compartment is clean and the vaccum tube from the cylinder head to EGR valve is not clogged or kinked.

Problem recified by my lecturer in just a few minutes, the vaccum hose got clamped between the front fairings.

Here's some notes in EGR valve.(Read until i'm lost.)
