Hi... M looking for any ways and means to convert or replace the @T spoke rim with tubeless rim. Any idea and suggestion how to go about having this done? Wanted to do much touring with less fear of typre repair on spoke rim. Its a Night mare getting to the inner tube and the thought of it jus pull me back from riding with my passport. LoL...:faint:

why didnt u ask the shop to troubleshoot? there are many possibilities that may cause the wheel to wobble, wheel bearings? cone bearings? etc best is get ur trusted mech to rectify :thumb:

i had that idea b4.. was quoted $300 to convert the rims to be tubeless... but guess the price kinda deters me haha... on the other hand, perfecting the art of changing tubes: free

haha shldnt let that deter you from touring heh...

thanx bro... consulted Ken from M-technik... not wheel balancing... perhaps it's d screw in my fork... will send my bike for thorough check on my fork.. hopefully by den, i'll hav a smoother ride....

could do about 380 km on a tank b4 reserve on my ex rd07a. but changed to split fires got 410 km. cant find those plugs now strangely... any 1 ouut there seem them. tot gettin for me kle.

bro smack76, i only manage ride 120 (miles on the meter i see) and to your question on the dunlop not soo gd la. they dun seem to be going in pointed dir or feel planted. think will stick to bridgestones. I will definately stay away from mets, pirellis. had bad experience with my other bikes oso.

just my 2 cents worth, most shops get better comission sellin the european brand tyres than the jap tyres. they look gd initially but wear off faster and offer less grip when wet,

if u notice, the tyres are tubeless tyres but used with tubes for most, im using AVON Distanzia at the moment, what they do to convert to tubeless is the rims, they wld cover the holes at the end of the spokes to seal and thus making the rims able to use tubeless tyres.. its a good investment i guess if u think u'll be riding ur AT for long :thumb:

im getting 400km nw b4 reserve, with normal spark plugs... the prob with split fires is dat there were numerous complains abt it being "too powerful" dat the piston cant withstand it.. shrugs nver tried it myself tho...

but one thing i did try was this BROQUET and it did work to give me xtra mileage...

tyre wise, looks like most AT owners are fan of Tourance... well im happy with my DIstanzia at the moment... :)

Hi Swat, Thanx for the good advice. Will check with BikeWorkz and hope will be of some help to my confidence level in solo touring. :cheeky:

Alamak.... call and check with Ah Beng liao... he said can only convert the rear tire but not the front as the front tyre too big and no tubless tyre of this size. Shaq

Ok la atleast minimize 50% of work should flat tyre. :thumb:

haha well ya at least lessen the probability by half.. but actually i've never heard of an AT whom gt a puncture on the front wheel whilst touring.. almost all is rear tyre...
