:help: i post a few questions at bike specs & reviews and its unanswered so i guess i ask here..well..i just got my license and i wanna get a first hand 125z or 125zR ...are they still available? what plate is it? what is OTR price for first hand?...Thx a lot..appreciate if yall help me.. :)

hmmm...i think now they only have the model with the valentino rossi signature no 46. same as the 125zr only the stickers are diff. also comes with sport rims. OTR price i'm not too sure. when i bought my bike on oct 2004 the OTR price is around $5600 inclusive of insurance. now i think shld be cheaper lah. the best is u go to motor shop and ask around cause diff shops tend to give diff prices. as for the plate wise i think u still can find FZ but not much. if dun have then it shld be FBA liao. all the best. welcome to the 125z world...lol.

or u want to buy my bike....cause upgrading to super 4 soon. :offtopic:

What's the best tyre size for both front n rear. I heard that using the same profiles for front n rear is dangerous.

how dangerous can it be,:giddy:

*MA 125Z KENA SABO!!*

WHY?!!!

altho da nick given to tis bike is 'the devil' bike, i dont think that is an excuse to justify the rider?

dont know whether i got make enemies out there...but its saaaad, real saaaad~!

things that i kena sabo ever since i got this bike 2yrs back:

1. someone put sand in ma engine oil compartment

2. break/steal ma side mirrors

3. force open my seat

4. force break ma gear lever

5. steal ma tyre air-caps (so cheap also want to steal)

6. poured engine oil on ma seat

7. burnt a 50cent mark on ma seat

8. everytime put parking coupon, somebody throw it away

9. cut ma spark plug cable

10. damage ma balancers

11. break ma headlite

12. break ma front signal lite

every time ma bike kena sabo, i throw money & repair it well.

i park first floor at MSCP at "golden lot" where everybody who walk into ma carpark can see it.

after that, sure kena again.

im so tired & dry throwing money on damages that I neva do & damages tat i dont derserve.

ppl always say: 'this kindda things always cannot be help one. if you want safe, put ur bike at ur house ar?'... ridiculous aint it? unless ppl kena their bike sabo, they wont know da sadness & frustration. but really.... wat else can i do?

i reported to the police, but wat can they do? oni help to 'look out' & they will 'try their best'.

not tat they're gonna run a fingerprint test or installed a surveillance cam.

becoz there's bigger things to worry abt...like tsunami & terrorist attacks, compared to an insignificant 125z yar? :sian:

i feel sorry for tat pathetik person who has no balls but instead, pick on a grl's bike.

feel so sorry he is so free all da time, like no work to do, to damage ma bike & endanger my life.

to da person who is holding tat grudge against me, ma apologies if i have unintendedly hurt you HOWEVER! i am approachable & friendly & we can talk it out yar?

to all da riders, please be cautious of ur bike status.

dont be complacent abt parking ur bike at the carpark.

our bikes are our form of daily commuting, our pride & joy & our life.

u wrk hard, u save hard, to perfect ur bike...yet there r some losers out there who r so jealous.

if you dont like others to do bad things to u, dont do it to others too.

to all bike vandals & theft, hope u feel for innocent riders like maself.

Thank you for ur time in reading tis.

(BTW im lookin for 2nd-hand 125z headlight wit signal lite covers. PM me thx!)

Well my 125z wasn't my 1st bike, infact it was my 5th  . However I did get it new and some of the first things I did to it I will now list down:

1) Install a front braided brakeline:

One of these will get you stopping faster (with a more progressive squeeze) rather than the spongy stock line. If you require more stopping power, get a sintered pair of brake pads, or if you feel up to it, splurge some $ on a HH rated ceremic backed sintered pad. These sintered pads will also work much better in the wet. Take note however that sintered pads will last anywhere from 8 mths to a year (depending on usuage) as opposed to regular ones that can last up to 2 years. Don't get sucked into getting bigger rotors/calipers because those will only add to the unsprung weight the bike. The stopping power of a braided front line and good pair of sintered pads is more than enough power. In fact, the limiting factor of hard braking on a 125z is really the size of the front tyre, which is explained below...

2) Change the tyres front/back both to 80/80

I can't remember what came stock, other than it was some SIME brand tyre. Put a pair of TT900s or TT900GPs on both front and rear for more grip. That is just my personal preference, you'll have to try various tyres to find the one you really like! If you want to be able to brake even harder, try a 90/80 up front. The tiny tyre on a 125Z really is the thing limiting stopping distance. I wouldn't bother with anything bigger than 80 on the back, because our bikes produce too little power to fully utilize a fat rear and 80 is more than enough for some fun cornering.

3) Install a pair of electric horns

These came from my old bike and have been my 'voice' on the road for many years. Get a pair of Stebel Magnum IIs at the bukit batok Autobacs. Should be around $16.90 for a pair + relays, if they still have them in stock. Good for giving the occasional straying car a good blast to keep them in their lane.

4) Remove the 2T pump & reservoir

More troublesome, but done right, removing all that crap and running premix on your stroker is the way to go. Premix is done by mixing 2T directly into your fuel tank. A 2T pump runs off the engine and is an extra load. It is also a mechanical device which is prone to failure. Faulty 2T pump = no 2T lubricating your piston = disaster. The pump does not adjust itself to throttle openings properly so you can either set it for low or high flow (or somewhere in between). Chances are you'll be running it on the high side to be safe, and that will mean an incorrect ratio (and wastage of 2T) at small throttle openings and more of the dreaded white smoke. The premix ratio of fuel to 2T will depend on what oil you use and your bike setup. I run a premix ratio of 50:1. A good premix 2T to use is Motul 600 or 800. These are excellent synthetic 2Ts which do not settle much and will stay dissolved in the petrol as opposed to cheaper ones which do not lubricate and mix well.

5) Porting of engine and mods

Had this done at Vectorone and have been most pleased with the results. If you're just starting out, I suggest you ride around a little more to get more familar with your bike and roads before getting any modifications done.

Well, that's more or less it. Hope my bit of info has been useful to those of you new riders of the 125z!

Yes tell him you want to remove the 2T pump and reservoir. It's an extra 15 secs when topping up petrol, but to me I'm ok with that. The benefits far outweigh the cost! And besides, after you remove the reservoir, there'll be this new 'storage compartment' under your seat for you to keep stuff like a small bottle of your favourite synthetic 2T.
