i dun believe there's any shop that provides $0 downpayment.. insurance have to be paid in full..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

dude...even u realli get a shop that $0 downpayment,as wat dragonforce says,u still have to pay full in the insurance plus the transfer fee loh...

another solution is save up the money till u are able to buy a bike....

Well, there's another alternative.

You can buy insurance from NTUC which allows installment plan.

However, I do believe you still need to down a min of $200-$300 for the bike.

Best you call up any bike shop to confirm

Hope it helps!

Ntuc does offer installment for insurance plan.

However i would still advise you to save up till you can fully buy the bike, paying by installment is a headache.

Wait,

NTUC only allows installments if the rider/driver is a preferred customer or has been with them for more than 2 years. Otherwise, it has to be paid in full.

Dude,

I'm sorry to say this but if you can't upfront the insurance, road tax, etc.... Then you're not ready to buy the SP. Cos the way I see it, you will encounter problems with the maintenance as well as the installments. And if the bike ends up being repossessed, it'll be a bigger headache for you when the additional costs are loaded in.

Remember this...

0% downpayment + installments for insurance = more monthly payments for you.

No offence but if you can't afford to pay a few hundred bucks for d/p and your insurance, you will have problems in future. Getting a bike is not just buying it. Are you able to afford your yearly insurance, insurance will be expensive when you are only 19. Yearly road tax? How bout petrol and maintenance? Plan your financial first before commiting. :goodluck:

hmm, i have regular income coming in. but i dun wish to wait for months to out a bike.

so thinking of installment plan. yea installment interest may be a killer.

but with regular income, i think can settle.

anyway, thanks all for the advise. i will reconsider.

im sry from what i know NTUC offer 6/12 months payment by giro, or by UOB or OCBC, dont really need to be prefered customer.... but for giro, must be above 21years old. credit card can be under 21 or can use 3rd party. cheers...

yeah true. im same age as u, so i think the minimum u must bring around 650$ for ur insurance. and sp is a really old bike, sure will have many problems crop up. so best to have some spare cash too. best is u buy from shop that give u 1 month warranty. so u can have 1 month of no headache riding.

My mistake, perhaps. Always paid my insurance in full but was once offered installments for my car. She told me if 2 years with NTUC, can pay in installments.

Otherwise, it's still the same. Pay insurance + bike installments at the same time can be taxing. Best to pay in cash.

Yeah man. i think need aprox 600 to 1k to down,

Also think abt maintaining it,

Ur buying SP, spare parts are Ex, and fuel consumption aprox 22km/L,

So u need kinda alot of cash in stanby,

No use of getting a bike and resting it in carpark,

I have fren who bought and are stuck now due to low fianace,

So think twice bro,

Those probs arnt ez to handle

bro save up to atleast 700 dollars..then look for bike in the meantime..there are bike shops which allow u to downpay juz 400 to 500 if u get insurance on ur own..and er insurance if u wanna get installment u ask ur dad to be the first rider and u be the sub rider..then u pay by installment the insurance via giro...for the installment plan for insurance need to pay 2 months advance if taking 12 month installment or u have to pay 1 month upfront if taking 6 months...i am in the EXACT same situation as u..19 yrs old with not much savings and really wanna ride..i noe how u feel man but do not make the blunder of nt putting any downpayment at all..it will come with strings attached..i planning to get my bike soon too..so yah..beware of shops that allow low downpayment..sum of them have bad history..so yah..be careful..but need atleast 400 to downpay for bike and 1oo plus for insurance..

and wad they say abt sp being old and alittle problematic is quite true..if u wanna take sp u will need some spare cash for repairs..even though bike shop give u one month gurantee its only for repairs NOT REPLACEMENTS..they will charge u for things u change..all bike shops once u pay up the attitude will completely change..atleast thats wad i hear from many many people..dun jump into the sea thinking holding ur breath enough bro..

Not surprising. I dun think there's a shortage of people who buy what they can't afford, then when the bikes are towed away, they kbkb about the shop.

If one out of every 5 bikers can't pay, forget to pay...etc whatever lah, the shops will close down real fast.
