Heyz,

Anyone here plays rugby or touch rugby? Maybe can get a group of people together to play or something.

Cheers

Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

I only played rugby once in my life. Banged head on with my team mate when we both dived for the ball in our opponents hands and he sidestepped us. Busted my lower lip big time and I actually passed out for a few minutes at the field. After that incident, no more rugby for me...

First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature's rules biker-sans. Not mine...

Yes, 20 years ago.

I could nail a conversion from the tightest spot on the field consistently.

Then SAS was the best known school for rugby.

Practically every cup belonged to us.

Police Cup, Goh Keng Swee Shield, National schools etc...you name we had it year after year....until the 90s that is.

In those days there were only 2 other formidable opponents.

RI and Green-something Sec.(cant remember)

Everybody else didnt bother becos they were thrashed with scores like 40-6, 50-0 or 60-0.....

Now, I just play Tennis and Golf......heh ehh

Greenridge sec had one of the best back then. SAS also I used to enjoy to watch or play at their school, it means only one thing, "PIZZA" courtesy of the SAS parents association!

Cheers!

 Hooker play a pivotal role in securing that darn ball in a scrum... And if you have a blur f**k scrum-half who always seems to pit the ball more towards the oppositions, ya gonna have a hard time securing it!...

Played as a fly-half... Vunerable position just right after the scrum-half.

to me fly half usually the ones that links the forwards and the backs besdies the scrum half..

he usually makes the important tactical call...

for scrum, it always helps to have a good prop..

there is this tactic, when its the opponent scrum, usully my prop will steal the ball..

My team's props are babarians... Always throwing sucker punches to the opposition when the ref's on the other side of the scrummage. But that's the fun isn't it?

And yeah, being a fly-half is kinda pressure, usually when the scrum-half's performance is not on par, the team is relying on you to make important passes and feints.

Ahhh... the good old days of playing at Farrer Park. Feeling so high and mighty putting the jersey with your fav number on, your favourite girl from class turning up to cheer you on and playing with mud when it drizzles! :cheeky:

Say wacko, isn't Pioneer Sec's jersey blue and yellow lines? If I hadn't recalled wrongly. Played against them once during my time back during 96 - 99

The only time we were pitted against Pioneer was during my lower secondary school days so I guess I didn't met you during my Sec 3-4 tournaments...

Most memorable match was against Fajar during my Sec 1 / Sec 4 matches, losing to Fajar during sec one by a walkover [apparently one of my teammates was so pissed at the ref for being bias in his call he took off his jersey and walk off during the match.]

And then we met Fajar again this time round during my last year of sec sch and we gave them a good sound thrashing 34 - 7, played at St Andrews...
