hi all, i'm new to this forum and riding, hope can learn from you guys.

i'm thinking of getting a vespa LX150 as my first bike. The cost of buying a used or new one is pretty straightforward. What I need advice on is the cost of owning one. i think it is important to factor in all these 'phantom' costs and work out how much it's gonna cost me in insurance, road tax, maintenance etc for the next 2-3yrs before I take the leap.

also i gather that keeping a vintage model costs more than a modren one. again, what are the differences in maintenance costs?

thanks in advance!

Actually, maintenance on Manual Vespas is lower than that of the Auto ones.
