replace new batt oso recommended to slow charge cos even factory activated batt is only 80% max.

ya lor.. tt time once my downpay my rvf liaoz, my phantom gave me problem all the way until i got my rvf.. buy bike cannot let current bike know lor.. tt's why i sold rvf first, then buy new bike.. hehe..

 

wah got 1 uncle say i chui.

hmmm dont think its battery, cos i unplug another side of the headlight then dont have this problem liao. as long as the volt dont drop below 11 it wont blink.

 

the voltmeter is design tt way.. below 10, it will blink..

 

Ok, next with everything switch on and bike started right..Rev till 6k rpm and hold there, A gd set of working battery, rect + coil would give you at least 14v constant..

 

If it doesnt, suggest that you can,

 

1. Replace the battery

2. Go shop, charge up battery for like 6-8hours..

the difference in voltage with the headlight on and off is too big..

headlight off is reading at 11.8+v

if switch on it will drop to 11.2+v only sometimes drop below 11v lor.

but on/off only a diff of 0.5v.... lol..

Why is the voltmeter connected to the headlight in the 1st place?

 

Best accurate position would be to the battery direct with a switch inbetween or be lazy like me, connect to the ignition fuse for the next best accurate reading.

 

Rect only regulates the current being pump into the battery determine by the ECU but battery as what ahduck mention, even when brand new, it has to be charged before installing onto the bike.

 

User a multimeter and tap to the battery direct and see what's the reading when it's nt switch on, when the bike is crank and idling and when it's rev up to 4k or 6k rpm..
