Video after setting my air/fuel mixture screw to 2 and 5/6. sorry for the poor picture/sound quality as it was shoot using my handphone. The engine runs smoother and quieter.

Why its important to tune the air/fuel mixture, thinking to buy one of this, Gunson colortune, its so much easy to tune to the the perfect air/fuel mixture.

I like the design of this paintwork, probably will spray this design if I renew my coe in 2013 for 10 years.

This looks nice. Prob keep my black rims as it is. but this looks great, prob consider spraying this later in the year.

Any idea where to do this and the cost?

my radiator mounting frame has cracked. so meaning to say i can safely get a bandit radiator and it will fit on the impulse?

The mounting bracket can go Seng Kwang and ask then to weld for you, its cheaper then getting a new radiator.

was quoted $340 for this design by RSP, but if you can dismantle and send/collect the parts yourself, there is a discount of $40.

bike seems to lose power after heavy downpour this morning.

throttling got weird engine sound.

could that be due to wet spark plugs?

If after heavy downpour - highly possible spark plugs problem.

Best is to change the spark plug caps if yours is old.

Thanks. Thought the previous owner should have changed it.

Will go down KS Motor to get the spark plug caps.

And what is the spark plug type too? need to get spared spark plugs.

Guan Hoe workshop also advised me to get the original front sprocket which have additional rubber fittings at center, otherwise the non-original one will eat up the core's threads.

Was thinking of changing rear sprocket to smaller Super4 one too so that can save bit of fuel in frequent highway riding, anyone tried before?

the spark plug cap (red) cost $5 each, after changed my engine no longer choking after rain.

The front sprocket preferably used the original one, I have change mine when I take over the bike, non original will put stress and wear out the transmission gear.

I am using 45T at the back, standard size, FC approx 26km/L.

Today went to KS Motor to get these:

suzuki front sprocket: $55 (Guan Hoe quoted $69)

denso spark plug x 4 : $32

spark plug rubber cover x 4 : $24

Then went to Planet Motor to fix the sprockets and test the bike.

Besides the above, also changed sliding bearings($120, costly because order from other shops) + rear sprocket ($38) + a bearing attached to rear sprocket end($15) + DID X-ring gold chain ($120). Workmanship $60 (remove the rear frame and slowly knock out the sliding bearings).

After that, no more small periodical vibrations felt when cruising the bike slowly on free gear.

Ah Chong told me KS Motor charged me too high for the front sprocket. He also complained that the sliding bearings from nowhere so costly too.

You got baby face is it, the front sprocket, I bought from KS for $45 only and the spark plug caps, 4 for $20. Spark plugs price 4 for $28. Unless the price jack up again.

Btw should check with Guan Hoe at rangoon, suzuki showroom and dealer for spares. Some parts they are cheaper than KS, and vice versa.

Just bought a new clutch cable from Guan Hoe (Rangoon Rd) for $25.10 (incl GST) and replace myself as the old one has stretch to its limit.

Was also planning to replace the throttle cable, and realized there are 2 cables (Total cost $50 from KS), but mine only has 1, the return cable (mainly for safety to tension and close the throttle if the carb assembly failed, very unlikely) was not installed on my bike.

The bearing for the rear wheel consist of 3 bearing, cost $19, $18, $17 plus quoted by Guan Hoe @ Rangoon, they are the next item on my list to be replace. I will purchase and pay the JB mech to replace for me @ Ah Gua Lane.

Bought the rear wheel bearings and sprocket bearing at KS today at $28( Total 3 bearings), almost 50% cheaper than Guan Hoe at Rangoon Road. These bearings do not bear the SGP packaging but its should be good(made in Japan).

The throttle and return cables KS is asking for $50 and they do not sell separately (mine was without the return cable)

Guan Hoe at rangoon is asking $28 for the return cable before GST, approx $30.

I adjusted the air/fule mixture screw setting today to 2 and 2/3 out

2 and 1/2 turn out (FC 26km/l but very difficult to cold start)

2 and 5/6 turns out (FC drop from 26km/l to 24.5km/l)

2 and 2/3 turn out (will monitor and update the FC again)

S750WP, u really good. Source and buy everything for the bike on your own.

I'm thinking of changing my bike coolant. U think it good to do at Guan Hoe Autobay?

Coolant can own self change, bought my Maxima Coolaide from Mustaffa for apprx $18.40, 2L more than enough for our bike.

If not I can show you how to flush and change the coolant.

Change my tires to Bridgestone BT39 today for $225(110/70/17, 140/70/17) at Unique motorsport, as the old tires Eternal Rise (Taiwan made) which came with the bike has deform badly and the bike was very wobbly at the front. The price is quite reasonable as it include installation and balancing, also they help change the 3 rear wheel bearing I bought there without extra charges. Wanted to get Perilli Diablo Strada initially but dont have the size for our bike, was contemplating to change to a wider tires at the rear 150/60/17, but the mechanic discourage as he say the tires might rub against the swingarm when cornering.

wow I had never imagined I will be owning this bike. I am a new owner of 97 model, GSX 400 impulse just been riding this beauty for last 2 days. Lovely the bike runs like charm and is damn powerful than the Honda Ver S I owned before. Great bike and no regrets in buying this. Looking for a Tacho meter spoilt on my bike, and getting the front fork seal replaced leaking, and some minor adjustments to be made. Any suggestions apart from Guan Hoe or KS motors?

Tachometer you might wan to find at scrap yard, for fork oil seal any motorshop can do. Planet motorcycle has good review but I never go there to service b4. My bike only service at Universal workshop (Alexandra village) or Mah motor opposite SLT if I can't DIY.

Thanks noted I know Ah Chuan at Planet I had scrapped my previous bike through him. Universal is near to my workplace might drop in there to get regular checks done. Cheers again for a lovely bike you and I own.

Clean the brake calipers, piston and sand the brake pads today because there is a tog sound during brake, after clean the sound is gone. In addition open up the clutch housing and service the clutch mechanism (behind the cover), because of tuck sound when clutch in. There are many ball bearings inside so take extra note when dismantling to clean and grease, the sound gone and my gear shifting very smooth and light after the cleaning and greasing. Have replace 2 crush washer at the engine oil hose due to leak, it very expensive cost $2 each for a little crush washer.
