krackvac,

You are a Malaysian Permanent Resident (PR) meaning you're not Malaysian but residing there?? Or is it you're a Malaysian but a Singapore PR??

If you're a Singapore PR, it's slightly easier cos you can own a Singapore registered vehicle. If you have a Malaysian B-Full licence, you have to convert to a Singapore one. But that would mean you have to get a letter from JPJ to verify your licence. But JPJ will ask you to give up your Malaysian licence (which isn't too much of a deal cos Singapore licence is International while M'sian one isn't). These are the "Kow Tim" ways of doing it.

The illegal ones, I won't mention...

I'm a Malaysian but part of my family is living in Singapore having PR status, but unfortunately none of them having complete B license, any chance of getting a bike there?

Any chance for none Sg PR to get a Sg bike in this case? Let say I already have an international license. Appreciates your comment.

you need a license before you can buy bike and ride

yes you can, but need fullcash.

N much easier if u can come down to jb.

Coe is required for sg registered vehicle.

Its for every 10 yrs and is renewable.

But if u take the 5 yrs option,

it cant be renewed anymore.

how much a brandnew bike can loan? Aiming for a H D softail, COE will cost less than 2k not sure about the insurance.

Yes, it seems that the insurance companies will need the requisite license (from Malaysia) for the specific class of bikes.

Also a Singapore address.

I am not sure thought whether any requirement of work permit etc.

Cheers

TS mentioned he is a malaysian PR, but forget to specify actual citizenship...i.e singaporean with malaysian PR etc....if he is a singaporean with malaysian PR, then i guess it would be more straightforward

singapore licence isn't an international licence. it's more easily recognised because of the english language that it is based on, hence more easily recognised by most countries.

he's holding a FULL B licence, equivalent to a class 2.

what shortcut is he taking? :sian:

@TS, you need to prove your ownership if possible of a 400cc and above vehicle for singapore TP office to convert your licence straight to a class 2. proof of ownership can be in the form of insurance papers..
