Squeaking sound heard when riding my bike. found out that the wheel bearings worn off. changed the front wheel bearing and cone bearing at sanfu.

Recently my S4 got itself into more vibrations when changing of gears ..

esp. on trhe 3rd and 4th when accelerating ...

 

Just few weeks back the vibration wasn't that strong ( of course there bound to be minimal vibrations in the engine ), but somehow i can feel the vibrations are stronger than usual since its transmitted to the foot pad and handle bars ...

 

Anybody have the same problem ? Even friends which i have pillioned also commented on the stronger vibrations as usual .. till now, still cant figure what's the problem

could it be that u changed gear at too low rpm? could cause vibration too... normally i change when rpm hit abt 5000

handle bar shake/vribate at onli 70k/hr ... ONLI 70km/hr!!!!

cos i so had e same problem as u, changed all those things when i get my bike, but problem stll not solved.

My bike excessive vibrations happens abt 4 - 5k on 3rd to 4th gear ...

 

Again, just a month back b4 i changed oil filter, vibrations weren't that strong ...

Sometimes can be due to forks unbalance, too much thing to change as my Ver S also shake a bit, I have changed the wheel bearing also at sanfu.

i find Ver S always has shaky problems. once u fixed one another will come. that's what happened to mine last time.

My S4vtec1 seems to have a soft fast cliking...........when I move off say above 30km. It sounds like coming from the front wheel, but when I look down, seems to come from the engine. Here and there, I could not find the sound . I just changed both the front and rear disk pads. Could it be from the disks? I had riden a long ride to Malaysia recently but not problem. This sound makes me suspect something is going to be wrong. Or is it wind turbulence?

Can anyone with S4vtec1 comment?

Bike Lab, 1122 Serangoon rd, front $100 (without oil seal), rear $160 ( add gas and service, withour changing the oil inside)...

most places almost the same price, close to hundred. at least bike lab specialise in suspensions so there's less to worry. some just throw away oil and replace new one without ever servicing the innards. so check properly if they include some cleaning and servicing the innards of the front forks.

s4 front fork seals sucks big time, detoriate real fast.

if change fork oil only and without servicing, can go planet motorcycle, change oil only $28.

Just had my spec2 serviced ie oil (BP fully synthetic) and sparkplugs (ND iridium) change, carburetor service (wash and tune).

 

The question is, now when I blip the throttle, the idle comes back down lower than the idle set before it goes up to where it should be. Sometimes it dies off. Then, I turned the idle higher (one mark above 1K). But same thing happens after I blip, the idle would sometimes stall lower than 1K, sometimes it dies off. Not always, but it happens. Most likely it happens if I did not blip the throttle for about half minute.

 

Could it be air setting not proper or sparkplug gap too big? Or carbs out of balance? But the idle is not erratic.

its a sign that your carbs is on the rich side....to be double sure.....take out your spark plug and see wats the colour tone of it

 

the previous plugs was light brown tone.

 

let's say it is too rich, so to correct the problem, gotta re-adjust the air setting?
