Fuel Gauge hay wire

Hey guys.. i just noticed today my swift fuel gauge is spoilt or something. i just bought the car 1 yr ago and this happen. damn..

 

 

i need help if u guys got experience this b4... when i on the engine the fuel gauge needle went up to show the amount of petrol la. but when i start the engine.. the needle just drop to empty. i have tried on and off a few times.

 

was wondering izzit a huge damage done or something? pls help.

Sensor not working. No big deal. It's a small fault. Since it's only a year, isn't this under warranty? Go and claim your rightful warranty and get it done for free.

Can't be helped dude, with the high taxes, people had to find alternatives to live comfy in SG. With a gamble that is.

now petrol cheap liao....For the Swift guy....u try unplug yur battery 4 about 2-5mins den put back n give it a shot....cause my engine indicator always light up cause got no by pass...hehehe...

Go get a XR4 or tourer and upgrade to the biggest tank, pump already come back transfer to car better..

I tried on the car. it light up the reserve fuel light. and i smell petrol in the cabin. so i drove to esso and pump petrol. still reserve!

 

so i thought must be the wiring la. scared anything happen to car, i quickly drove to autobacs. The mechanic jack up the car and we saw petrol leaking out frm below.. So he had to unscrew my fuel tank to find out..... To my horror...

 

My fuel line got two holes.. And the wiring connected to the tank is being chewed off. By a freaking Rat!! Wth.. hahaha. Can see some of the fur and droppings on the fuel tank. im so sad. Of all the cars in my carpark, why must it be me!! arrgghh!!

u do liao mah? my workshop all at north area one. But cannot be 1 hose 500 bucks + labour wat, doesn't sounds right. even buy custom fuel line also 400 can get liao, abit weird sia

Ur fuel hose made of stainless steel??!!

Should be quite cheap for a normal piece of fuel rubber hose

new cars mostly went to ss type. except cina type i dunno might be using straw

overhaul the whole thing? dent is done by other shop depend how big is your dent. Next meetup remind me i give u the contact u go ask them.
