Well, now that Aprilla comes under Piaggio, the situation could be slightly better?

Ok..here goes. Back then, belt has got a regular interval to have it changed. When the time did come, I went to the shop, told me no stock, wait for next shipment. (For a wear and tear items you tell me no stock?) Ok, so I waited. One month later I go down again, still no stock, that's it, sold it straight away. (This is after spending $300 to have the timing chain replaced.)

Next is the the tyre, 16" isn't really easy to be had in SG...so when back to the shop...They have the tyres alright but make in ROC brand and want to charge me more than $100 at that. Gave up on them, lucky LAB manage to get a Pirelli($60) for my front and Michelin($80 or 90) for my rear...

Now got phobia about getting another similar scooter. It's a trusty scooter nonetheless...if only the support were better.

U r veri rite abt the support ! Such a big n supposedly reputable company can't even hv enough fast moving spares in stock, furthermore price 4 spare parts r also ex, really a shame 2 the founder......

Anw, anyone riding scarabeo 200, u can get malossi belt which cost a bit more but last longer then the original bando item. Original oil filter cost 22, but K&N only ard 13 or 15 from Eversuccess. As 4 tire, 2 hv rite combination of front n back wif rite size, ChongAik can help but r Taiwan product "Kenda".:cheer:

Hope tis info cn help all scarabeo lover, its a great bike but in the hand of wrong support !!!:sian:

If you're refering to scarabeo, I can assist in bringing you but you'll still have to get the parts from the agent. unless you don't mind after market like polini etc...

Hi Scarab,

yes, I'm having a Scarabeo 200,

this BUG is my 1st auto-scooter,

and I think there isn't many BUG owners around,

so need to find out more info on it....

May i know what are the aftermkt (malossi & polini) parts?

Where can I find them?

How much more as compared to OEM parts?

Don't mind to pay more as long as the stuff can lasted abit longer...

Saw your pics taken in Thailand,

so how long do U ride before stopping for a break?

2-3 hours? Can it be ridden constantly for 3 hours before stopping?

worried about the convertor belt might snapped.....

Might take my BUG up north once I get all the things changed in it...

Did U spray lub onto the converter belt?

same as those on the fan belt of a saloon?

Thanks!! :)

A problem started to develop with my AA200 yesterday.

During moving off from stationary, there is a strong vibration (seemed like it coming from the Variator assembly) and a sudden lost of drive power, however once I apply more acceleration, the vibration disappear and did not re-appear until moving from the next complete stop again.

Anyone has this experience before?

Confirmed problem due to Clutch slip - the clutch mechanism has suffered wear and tear.

Got the clutch and bell replaced (polini), however now experiencing a minor performance problem, the bike seems too has lost it ability to pick up speed quickly, especially going from 60 to 80km/h.

Will monitor the situation before sending it back to the workshop.

greetings folks!

i recently purchased an atlantic200 bout a month ago and i must say that it's been nothing but a blast for me.. superb pickup.. uber comfortable for both rider and pillion and the storage space.. my goodness..

so far i've added a kappa windscreen, koso voltmeter and tachometer..

only problems i've had so far are that the RPM reads 10,000 at idle and has gone up to 70,000! suspect some wonky wiring there.. and also there has been some leakage from one of my forks which i suspect may be because it was overfilled with oil..

just wondering if anyone would be interested in having coffee or something sometime? also if there are any scooterers that would be interested in heading up north once in a while?

looking forward to hearing from you guys..

peace
