Hi! i just bought my 9yo scarabeo 2 months ago and im loving it! saw someone with a vespa w a sidecar, was wondering is it possible to fit that for my scarabeo. Anyone has any idea whether that is possible? and where can i find out the regulations, cant seems to locate it on LTA website.

Will it be a good idea to fix a side car? what do you think?

Side car? LOL.... Feeling Indiana Jones?

not sure where to find the information though but that will definitely take the fun out of riding a bike and also the traffic jams you have to endure in this hot & humid weather.

Anyway love the scarabeo! I had one before my Atlantic but was smashed by a tree.

How's your rear suspension? You wanna buy mine? New ordered from Italy and arrived the day after the bike got smashed. I sell you cheap cheap if you want.:cheeky:

even cbf150 can fix side car so don't think its impossible ba. but the side car cannot sit passenger one. can only carry goods if i remember what a uncle told me before.

anyway bracket customisation won't be cheap i think. =) but it'll be way cool ^_^

Hi there, no worries.. We’ll try to feed you with whatever information we have.

Comfort: I think all the rides you mentioned is comfortable due to the seat size and the automatic transmission. The difference you should be looking for is the size of the underseat compartments and if there are extra glove compartments including accessories e.g. cigarette lighter socket

Servicing: Most automatic transmission maintenance shops will provide you with the servicing package costs. This you must find out on your own. I believe the prices don’t differ so much. As for parts, I think X9 and Atlantic would be slightly more expensive due being Piaggio & Aprillia (Italian) and not SYM (Taiwan). Not really sure though. :cheeky:

Fuel economical: I’m currently riding the Atlantic and getting an average of 28km/l. The other two you need to search other forums or google search it.

Power: Not sure what you meant as power. But whatever it is, the way you twist your throttle and the after-market parts you replaced will make slight differences.

Cheers! And hope the above helps.

Hi bro thanks alot!

like you mention, which one has the best storage space. i know that the sym gts 200 has 4 compartments (box, underseat, under the throttle (if i remembered correctly) and below the handlebar) + a bottle holder. what about the other 2 models?

and one last qestion, how about insurance? im 20 and passed on feb 2012.

sorry for the tons of questions.

Not too sure about the Piaggio but it should be similar to Atlantic. Underseat compartment, box (size depends on what you buy), the compartment under the handlebar.

As for the bottle holder, you can buy it yourself and drill a hole on the bike. Mostly DIYs.

Insurance can try asking quotes from the Insurers. Go google and find the insurance companies' agents and call them. They will give you a quote over the phone. Just passed? Usually expensive.

Hope it helps and best of luck. :thumb:

You doing up your AA with sound systems? I do not have the links but my suggestion would be for you to go down one of the shops providing that service and inquire the mechanic all you want... :).

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion. Do you happen to know of any shop that provide such services? I went down to the car audio shop yesterday but I am not convinced that they can perform this task.....
