hi guys..got some qns nid ur help..i m riding nsr sp..and 1)my bike is vibrating so hard dat certain screws on my fairings already came off..i went to a bike shop and ask abt the issue he told me might be my cord rod..and over haul might solve the vibration(lesser) isit true? he quote me 500-600 but he say its unessesary as its still ride-able.another problem is 2)i tried to test my top speed for my bike but when i get 140km/h + - i cant really go up anymore..is there anything wrong with my bike? it seems slower den a stock sp..3)and abt opening of valve..i got a friend to test my sp..he said my valve when opening cant really feel the power..is my engine really kns? or isit jus me?4)i had a couple of times engine stalling when riding..engine jus went dead..jus changed a spark plug..not yet encounter any dead engine..some advise from regulars pls..any gd motor diam to recomend?how much does overhaul cost for sp? tkssss

probly ur bearings and conrod worn out already. best if u get it changed quick. maybe ur clutch plates/springs worn out already.

 

overhaul costs depends on what you change.

 

find a trusted mech, open up the engine and check out whats the problem.

one of the common problems of sp is the bearings. if you don't really take care of your bike, it'll tend to break easily. anyway top speed want so fast for what, this is only singapore after all. :)

Bro,I think you need to change ya conrod and bearings.It happened to me coz of the bearings.My mech says its like 8 yrs my bike still using stock sp bearings.Kana sai sum last owners never changed.That oso means that sum bikeshops never did do a proper overhaul.Its better that you are present there to see it yourself.

hmm r they expensive to change it?my mech jus changed my piston rings..and said that my vibrations had nth to do with my conrod..he even opened it up to show me dat nth is wrong..how does a conrod shows dats its worn out? wad abt bearings?

wah..dats ex..he changed my piston and rings..and my bike pipe sounds even louder..zzz its faster in pick up sense..but for the pipe..i asked him is my pipe tong..he said yes..stock pipe..but only carbon inside taken out..and its v loud..zzz no idea how to siam LTA or TP..zzzz

wa no air box racer bike sia..... your engine sure got problem ur ex user is a racer so what do you think he will do to ur bike? check ur pipe muffer got mod a not cause mod muffer cannot use stock endcan with out mod thurs bike no power. when you change piston ring got check the block and piston got leakage anot? sure smth doing with block maybe port be4 one thats y so much problem.

hmmm..only mod i noticed is my pipe..stock pipe but theres a "750$ NUT" i asked abt it ..they said is clear carbon..is that illegal?

me too having the same problem! =.=

my bike can go only 140km/h

and my bike vibration when pillion ppl, can feel the whole bike vibrate like nuts!

there's alot of reason right? hmmm, does clutch plate and the spring will cause this problem like speed cant go above 140? and the bike vibrate alot.

because i think mine wore out already. hmmm...

clutch plate wear doesnt cause this vibration problem

 

the common problem with a poorly maintained sp is worn out crankshaft bearings which cause this virbration inside..

 

BUT .. there are other factors also..

like worn front or rear wheel bearing...

and clutch housing's getting looser over time

 

clutch plate wear is when u throttle alot.. then at a certain speed ur rpm shoots damn high .. but theres no pull on ur bike.. therefore no speed

machiam clutch in and blow like tat..

hmmm, but i only ride for 2months plus.

when i got my bike back, totallt no vibration at all.

pillion ppl they wont complain at all.

after now, i keep getting the vibration and its quite strong when i pillion ppl.

when im riding alone, it wont be so strong.

and i dont wack much leh. sian.

how do we check that the front bearing or rear bearing is loose?

what about clutch housing? what if its loose?

how much does it cost to replace worn item?

hey bro, if you need some help with your sp, i recommend you try planet motor in ubi and let ah chong help you check. he's good. i got my sp from albert, full of problem, worse is petrol leaking and max speed only eighty plus... i went there, ask him help me check and fix then everything good liao.

anyway, an advice to you, dun bother too much about the top speed la.. singapore no place for you to go up to 140 without a high chance of accident. advice you to pay more attention on the fc. speed too high petrol also burn very fast. somemore petrol price now rising. all the best to you.:thumb:

hi peeps, can any1 help mi wif tis probs:

 

1) when bike engage gear1 stationary, bike lyk abit jerking. when u wanna do reversing in gear1 clutched in, rear wheel machiam stuck, if u ignore n juz continue to reverse, bike dies off.

 

2)when u r moving, drop from gear2 to gear1, u will hear 'tak tak tak' sound coming from the chain, ard the front sprocket.

 

some info abt my bike, riding SP, juz changed EO n oil seal, chain is not loose, biting point is in middle(not to little/too much).

im having this problem also.

especially when in fast speed, from gear 2 drop to gear 1, the sound can be heard from the chain there.

i forgotten what mech told me already!

anyone can clarify?
