To add on, some unscrupulous car dealers would even cheat their own workers. My friend who was a sales executive for one local dealer (not PI) had 3-4 months of his pay including commission withheld by his own boss. Boss claimed that company not earning money blah blah blah... full of excuses. We only got to know about it when he was about to quit due to this problem. He didn't want to make a big issue out of it and in the end left without even getting back his few good k of pay!

He should have gone to MOM... A few months pay is a LOT of money. I'd do it.

Some local biz really are crap, check ACRA for their paid-up capital before you sign up. At least you know how much they have in the bank.

Is it market practise that finance company requires you to have 1st party insurance throughout the tenure of your loan? Lidat if those take 10years loan, by the 3rd year car no value anymore, still buy 1st party for what?
