This morning kena one very attitube toyota wish plate(***236*) near ubi there..

 

At this traffic light where a green one for goin straight (lane 3,4,5) and a right arrow (lane 1,2) to turn right. i was at the lane 3 upcoming to the lights (i signal right le) and those cars was havin a very long queue at lane 1 & 2. so therefore i decide to use lane 3 to go to the front of lane 2, suddenly the lights goes green when i reach upon the front and so i turn (i move faster than him) with this car Toyota 236 into a 2 lane small road, he not happy i turn before him so he overtake me RACKLESSLY in between me (on the left) and a car (on the right) where he almost knock me to the side... i was like wtf den i slow down let him pass but i horn him... den he not happy slow down to my side, roll down window den start scolding me (bad words) and say i just now overtake him at turnin point there he felt very dangerous (thats y he wanna overtake me racklessly) den ask me stop at the side like wanna do something to me like that, i say u are unreasonable and i not goin to talk to u den i went to the front traffic light and stop. den he not happy again dash up to my side and use his left side mirrior BANG my right arm, now he say i knock his car and he ask me for my IC and wanna take pic of his car been knock... i was very pissed off already den i say come lor, we call police now see who win lor, i got witness (my pillon) saw u now coming up to my left side (out of the lane) and bang my right arm, U WANNA DARE ME ( i say )???

 

den he was like not dare but change topic say u this kind or riding arh... @#$%@# (keep scolding) den next drove off...

From a legal standpoint.

 

Your lorry driver is sprouting bullshit. Signaling to change land does not mean a Right of Way.

 

Technically, you have the right of way, and that lorry driver has no right of way.

 

But in any common sense, You and your girlfriend does not have harder then lorry skin or skull. So please, let that fella has his 'wrong of ways' and let live.

 

Your only decent option now, is just to remember the road, the lamposts numbers regards to your events. Drop by a police post and request to make a statement.

 

Then use that statement, fax to the lorry company and LTA about this lorry driver.

As long you still got time to horn, means you still have reaction time to stop or to avoid. I will rather use the horning effort to slow down my bike and let the lorry pass. After all, the one sufferring physically and mentally is still the rider and worst, the pillion. Ride safe and ride defensively.

You never experience, Horn + Slow down + Ebrake + you at speed limit. And the fellow still come out and tell you he has the right of way???

Yes, we are at the losing end if we fight with cars for space on the road just slow down abit and let him into the lane. frankly speaking, if u were in a car coming up in the same situation, he still won't give a damn anyway.

i always tell my frens when i am on the road, i will practice Right of Staying Alive, then Right of Way.

This just brings to mind that auntie with carloads of kids in her red hyundai matrix, from right hand lane served to left hand lane to exit that ECP.

Well fortunately I was going at a relatively slow speed, as I just turned out from the car park. Actually I was just going to make him look bad only. But I guess its mean to do that! Heh.

he invite you go carpark settle, you invite him go police post and settle.

 

That's what I did with a cab driver last time at Tampines.

 

Cut into each other's lane, 50-50 fault, cab driver started scolding and ask me to stop at carpark and talk.

 

I said no need, just drive straight to police post and discuss there.

 

In the end, each go separate ways.

 

But now, got section "something" (dunno what number), punch people, police still don't want to get involved, ask you to raise civil case.

 

This is the loophole to have excuse to whack people.

 

The case of a guy who knocked out 2 teeth from a lady.

Police say no case, quoting that section of the law.

No, normally I don't horn. Let alone high beam. I just prefer to do within my means to avoid the vehicle. It a never ending argument. Ppl will always say they are right. Why waste the time? Unless you got witness?

Its not an arguement of right or wrong way. HORN is for your own safety. Yes of cos safety riding but you never come across kuku who dun even knw you are there? Anyway if you have your means to avoid so be it. I have my way but HORN is my last resort. Its not a waste of time to argue rite of way or not. HORN will save some ppl. And its not a waste of time. I rather waste the time than waste $ and life. Got witness also no use, got LOUD HORN BETTER than witness.
