anyone had ideal if epoxy putty hold things well?

 

im thinking of fixing up a crf shrouds on my tank, need to weld the nuts on certain position on the tank. im thinking of using putty to hold up the nuts instead of welding the nut itself on the tank, any advise?

It'll break eventually due to the vibrations. Doesn't sound like a good alternative.

Epoxy will hold. U just need to really mix it properly and correctly. Another alternative is those double sided tape with the spongy spongy thing. Use the one they use for cars. I think those car accessory shop should have. Or can try normal hardware shop. That one u'll have a hard time peeling off the excess when u peel it off. Really sticky.
