Hi all, under hot sunny afternoon with lots of traffic lights stopping your scooter, how many bars will your temp gauge rise to? I got a joyride200 which rose to 4 bars. Is it normal?

i am riding 6 month GTS 200, temp gauge always 1 or 2. Seldom 3 never goes up to 4.

Which petrol spec you are using? 92, 95 or 98? According to manual we can only use 95 and 98.

 

According to the compression ratio, friends suggested me to use 95 for better milage.

 

But I feel 98 more powerful. What petrol you guys normally use?

Do anyone know joyride 200 got any radiator fan? And how many litre of coolant it capacity is? Or got any manual guide for me to download to view? Provide a link if have, thanks all.

To excell II riders... upon putting the box, do you guyz put brackets? Bcoz mine juz put tray put sum screws here and there to make it stiff. but i dun see it is sufficient enuf. Where to get those brackets? hw much does it cost?

my box is installed on top of the stock bracket. the silver one. shop jus drilled the holes, put the box base, n secured it. so far so gd.

hi guys, my battery warning indicator light came on last night and the idling RPM start to go up and down between 2 to 2.5. anyone knows what is the problem?

Anyone knows how big is the underseat storage of the Joymax? I would also like to know what is the shape like? Is it rectangular shaped or issit irregular?

Any GTS fellas here did any mods? If yes, what mods and where you did. I saw a few GTS with side lights, and once saw one with new and brighter LED ring inside the headlamp! There are more LED than the current one, so I believe he changed somewhere. Anyone know can kindly share? Thanks.

edit: im riding gts 200. almost 1 year old.

 

battery indicator up can mean:

- Your battery need to change

- Your charging mechanism got problem.

- Sensor got problem.

1 yr+ never change battery probably time to change, or if you only ride short distance, maybe not enough time to charge. Can try charge and see how. If not this, probably sensor got problem.

 

If engine warm up already RPM go up and down probably something with carburetor. Its either dirty (can just clean) or needle spoil, need to change...

hi I'm a newbie, just bgt a Sym Joyride 200 Jul 2004 on 16 Mar 2011, change water thermostat, flush up the coolant system, the fan starts at 3 bar, my additional radiator gauge shows at 36deg C myb you guys think it is normal?

 

Additional info I chg GPR streetfighter full system, TSR 333 closed pod filter, power abuser 2, broquet fuel charger BT3, new rollers, U clips, belt, clutch, pulley bearings and pins, carburetor repair kit, HID H4 8000k, LEDs, additional brake light, tachometer, voltmeter, LED inside & outside temperature sensor plus clock, larger windscreen, Koso blue tinted mirrors, playlife grips, levers grips, better brakes pads, better rear suspensions, air horns and Pirelli tires.

I test rode it can goes above 125kmh, as i thought its max original speed at 110kmhr, sorie guys not to brag in this forum, as I am a newbie, just did those upgrades to self satisfied,myb those fellow Sym owners also had around the same upgrades to share...thks for reading

Hi Koon, sorry for the late reply. Just came back from the Ipoh Charity ride & Hatyai trip.

 

I also see scooter to the Ipoh Charity not sure it is GTS...i hear the average speed is abt 100km/h.. I clock from Ipoh to GP Esso is 540KM. really admire this rider on the determination to go up Ipoh.
