I have replaced the entire clutch assembly already. Makes no difference.

 

Even if you change 100 times think you will still have that prob if the clutch plates aren't dismantled to be serviced.

 

Personally, i didn't have much problem of that esp when i use better petrol like V-power.... but i am pretty sure that it's a case of "clutch unable to engage properly case".... which what my mechanic did is dismantle the assembly to its individual parts and service every single piece... then a little WM magic to it and after that, it's Good to go....

Saw a white Majesty 250 sport today. Stunning!

I have a 9 year old YP250, nearly 100,000kms already. Every morning I have to hold the rear brake and rev it to 'smoothen it out' somehow, or else moving off from zero the bike vibrates like h3||.

 

Belt sticking? Clutch sticking? Don't know.

 

yeah sounds like clutch problem, but since it's left with 1 year, not worth repairing.

 

mine happens after my trip from Kluang. I wack from Kota Tinggi -> Kluang. I suspect the motorshop didn't add enough engine oil when they service my scooter

Eh, I didn't service any clutch component, I bought brand new EVERYTHING!

 

Clutch shoes, springs, hub, rear pulley, front pulleys, rollers, clips, the metal thing that holds the rollers, the ramp thing.... Give up.

i know bro. new things require time to run in also and there is actually no requirement to replace cos it's resolveable. anyway, you change it back to orginal one or after market one?

 

feel free to contact me. i let you test mine and we see what's the difference or problem and see how it can be resolve.

Funny thing is, problem goes away after whacking high speed on expressways - 100+km/h (indicated), regardless new or old belt.

 

I use all original Yamaha parts from HongLeong. Belt, rollers, transmission air filter....

 

Its alright, tahan another few months COE due already, not worth repairing further. Mileage 97000km already, engine needs new piston rings and bottom end bearings.

thinking of getting a majesty YP400 yr 2004 , wonder whats the fuel consupmtion and maintainance like?

 

how much is the tank capacity?

 

correct me if i m wrong...

if change EO every 4k fully synt at 1.5l, would be about 30bucks?

with oil filter every 2 oil change, air filter, etc about $40?

belting, rolley, puller every 30-40k will be about $100?

 

think that it should be a better scooter to ride then a X9 and cheaper in maintainance.

not sure if yp400 is 1.5 or 1.8L. anyway it depends on the grade used. most of us use fully syn which is abt 22-30 per L.

oil filter think is abt 20 dollars (if have) while air is abt 20-30 plus dependable on brands....

never know belting, rollers and pulleys are so cheap. of cos unless it's pirated type which doesn't last and will spolit your transmission... on avg even yp250's one already cost abt 300 for full servicing hence think yours should be same if not more.

Hey all majesty riders, does Yamaha Majesty 400 have difficulties weaving in and out & squeezing in between of traffic (admit it, we all have been doing it although we know that it's not safe) due to its broader width and size?

old 250 depends on model year... while 400 range is abt 3-6k on avg... again dependable on the year.

bro... it all depends.... if you looking at those 6-7 years should be abt that price lor... while those abt 4-5 yrs will be closer to 6k....

hmm.... this is a very interesting question.

 

there is a few brands u can try.

 

1. GPR (never check)

2. Leo Vince (if i remember, got but i never check)

3. Yoshimura (avail but most ex)

4. Moriwaki ( the one i using but not sure if they still willing to bring in for you cos cost price is quick ex though not as ex as Yoshi)

5. Arrow ( one of ex Yp250 rider was using it)

6. Blue Flame ( In Japan, have but singapore i not sure if they have)

 

Above are the full systems i am talking abt not slip in and got distributors in local.

 

If you can get a shop to bring in for you, then you can go check out Japan websites as there are plentiful. Just remember to ensure that it's JMCA approved cos Singapore side mainly look at this.
