Problems kickstarting spark 135

Hi.. Just bought a yamaha spark 135 recently, got no electric starter only kickstarter

 

However, in the morning or after one day never start, very difficult to kickstart.. sometimes kick a lot of times still cannot i just push start.

 

usually i will pull the choke and open 1/2 throttle then kickstart.. but my friend said keep doing it this way will flood the Carburetor..

 

Is this strange for a new bike? any suggestions on wats wrong or anyone facing similar problems?

also smtimes can start but must open throttle for very long.. if not engine wil die then diff to start again..
