Given past experience on twist & go bikes.

1) Never full throttle from stationary.

2) Never "whack' from traffic light to traffic light.

3) Always increase speed gradually.

This should save some fuel. If you have been following 1,2,3 ... then i think, gotta check ur bike lor.

Just wondering, how much does it cost to the the belt of this hayate? and how often? need to change roller and how often? isit alot cheaper to maintain this bike than a gilera ST200 ? i am interested in HAYATE! haha

YUP kinda true.. BATT can died within less than 2 week of not starting ur bike. Mine was 2 weeks and bike fails to start after trying to revive it by kick start. so i went to get a new batt. suspect the NEW ERP SUCK battery like vamipre.. MAYBE i think worse than a vampire, as when i check the batt at tat time, its aroud 3.4 instead of (i was expecting) 8 - 9. if u want to DIY, the battery is on the left side of the bike ( if ur seating on it) if u look from the front it will be on ur right. if ur looking at the sweet a$s of ur hayate.. it will definately be on ur left:angel:. cheers..

P/S: i did a manual ON - OFF switch for the erp by-passing it to the batt. so far 1 week never start so good.:thumb:

yup. my weight was 86kg and bike can ruise that fast. yet again... agree with EIDTSH, gradually slow pick up will do no harm on the belting. and save patrol when u ride at 80km-90km/hr

just replaced my battery to a new one and the bike is working fine now. Just would like to know where you did the on-off switch for the erp as i also would like to fit that on my bike. Seems like you had your hayate for quite some time, any info on when we should change our belting before it snaps when we are riding on the road.

Belting not to worry lah. It wont snap unless ur really super unlucky... from what i noe, when there isn't any PICK up left or geting slower and slower...and Loud noise coming from ur belting area ( located on the left rear wheel) then its about to change. all depends on ur usage bro.. so dun wack. i expect it to wear off after 2 years or more ( skipper milleage) from day 1 i ride it. Now already 10k on the mileage. but have stop riding it since a month ago. so park at carpark resting.... But again.. my prectice is.. 2 to 2.5 years.. its about time to full service.. think it shuld cost arounf 200-300 then its good to go for another 2 years ++...

The switch is just normal switch bought at SIM LIM. i locate it just under the front part of the seat. and to all.. DUN BE SUPRISE how many SCREW there are on the HAYATE. my advise.. get mechanic to OPEN just in case if there is anything gone wrong... u can "F" them.. heheheehe

Maintenance is just EO when running mileage up.

9000km then need change belts and rollers. Cost only slightly above $100 for the belt and roller changes. This is for preventive maintenance.

If you run on corrective maintenance, spoil then change, not adviseable imo as it's dangerous if belt snaps when you're in middle of e-ways. Belts do crack and fatigued with age.

Overall, it's still darn cheap to keep a hayate. No chain to lube, just start and go and then park, cycle repeats.

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

I was told that 12K then go back service.

My Runner and X9 , max run was 13500KM then return for belt change. Actually can run till 15K.

My wife just pass her bike test. Going to get one from Loois. So far they are the ones who offer the best price, OTR 4800. Can be cheaper if experienced rider and 3rd party coverage. ASP Phoon also have the model selling at 5300. They have add on some accesories but not worth the price. Bad experience with ASP phoon. Ask sales man can cheaper or not as Loois 4800. He say go buy from them then. I never say anything and walk off. So if interseted buy from Loois. Heard they are the ones who import the Bike to singapore.:p

Yes Includes everything including insurance. I went for the 2nd party fire theft as such the price like this. 3rd party experienced rider i think price range about 4200 to 4300. Now that i buy only worried about spare parts. Anyone knows if localy can get??:dot:

hi..

I bought hayate 2008 aug, and now 17500 km (FBC 8****)

Encounter hard start around 1000 km, check plug (found dirty) , so i change to hotter spark plug type ( NGK CR7 HSA) from original colder type (C6HSA), from there onward, the bike has totally no problem.

Facts

Patrol > Caltex 95 ( got 34 km/l)

Avg speed > 80 - 90 km/hr

max speed > i try on express way several time , got 120 km/hr with 2 person

but seems so hard to engine, 100 km/hr easily.

E0 currently use Amsoil Synthetic 10-40 (946 ml)

Roller = 20-15 12 gram ( do not try sliding roller , it sucks, believe me)

Belt = similar to Kymko

Just share my experiences
