I saw on HKL website, the RS Taichi DryMaster jacket cum raincoat is going for $280??

Don't think there's a totally water-proof raincoat, on the basis that the top (where our head goes through that is!) isn't water tight in the first place. Haha.

Dont think so la. The jacket more ex than raincoat ba.

Using a kappa k46...but abit regret should have gotten a bigger one.

The Kappa 46L came with the scoot right??

If you got it 1year ago, it would have come with a miserable Shad SH40i. I had to change out to SH45i as the SH40i was simply too small for me backpack. Wanted to get the SH48i but that costs $170, while the SH45i was $90.

Now come with Kappa 46L.... Hais.

Nah not going for that....

Just want the Drymaster raincoat...Think should b ard 150 -170 ba

Yup i have bought one. Camouflage one.

You see when you buy at motorworld (bras basah branch).

A friendly guy will suggest that you buy the size that fit your trousers not the size of the jacket.

Fat people like me tends to be bigger at the lower half like big thighs.

Say if you are size XL, the jacket will fit your body nicely but not the pants.

The pants tends to be fitting and that's not a good thing as when you squat or bend, the tendency to tear or streach and rip the dry master material is high and thus cause leak.

So say you get a pants that fit and it will most likely be 2XL or even 3XL. Imagine how big the jacket will be. You'll be like a clown.

Then the friendly staff will say, who is gonna look at you when it rains ha ha.

I did not follow what he says and am kinna glad and at the same time regret about it. You see the jacket i got was XL, jacket big and the pants is fitting.

The 2XL pants fitted good with enough room to prevent stretching but the jacket was way too big.

I dont want to look like a clown so i went with the XL.

Now jacket is big and roomy but pants now i find a bit too fitting. Have the tendency to stretch especially with this Downtown scooter cause almost 90 degree knee bend. At the same time i wouldn't want to wear an extremely large jacket that looks so funny. Something like a small kid wearing an adult clothes thingy.

The perfect jacket would be a L jacket and a 2XL pants but too bad no mix and match here.

Bear in mind that the dry master lining ( in fact most lining) last only a few years and they will come loose and tear.

I got an old clearance stock dry master pants from motorworld ubi. I was so happy as it was the size i was looking for 2XL and pants only but price was $60 still find it quite ex as if you divide the new full set is about $75. Give the jacket cost more will be like $85 and pants will be like $65. So infact i didn't save any. The lady cashier told me clearance stock no warranty so cannot return. So was quite happy that i can match the rain coat now.

Tried first time during rain. After removing the pant discovered the lining are coming off patch by patch and tearing. Crap, felt cheated. So my experience be a warning to you guys buying old stock. Just remember, rubber don't last.

Should change the name to SH1T

Givi 45 already can fit 2 helmet (I think) SH45 can't even fit 2 nicely.

Yup. Haha. SHAD box not as good as Givi when it comes to space design....

why DT300I.

1-good fc(30-35km/L)

2-decent fuel tank (12.5l,1tank can travel at least 360km)

3-cheap servicing(1bottle plus eo,1plug,gear oil)

4-40k km belt,roller,u shoe replacement

5-FI

6-under seat storage

7-travel in sg is more than enuff

8-machine is much much cheaper compare to swt 400

9-able to travel at 110-130km(gps speed)when go touring

10-300cc single cylinder engine is decent

Haha. The Downtown 300i fuel consumption can be as low as 25km/L.... really depends if you got a good DT or not. That's the problem with taiwanese products - QC really not there.....

And the belt can last 40,000km??? Hmm.... Then DT300i is way better than DT125i, cos me belt only last 15k km. Hehe.

Like for me, DT125i, fuel consumption can drop from 35km/L to 27km/L depending on what you do to the scoot.

If. Downtown is giving you less than 29km/l, lose some weight! I constant GPS speed at 120km/h also worst FC at 29km/l. The grip sucks man, so ma fan one. Think I doing valve clearance then change together. Profatsir have until cl5.

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

Posted

Are you on stock tires?? Maxxis?? If that's so, that explains your decent fuel economy and sucky tire grip.

With Maxxis, I ride sensibly at legal speeds, can get 35km/L. Ride fast fast 33km/L. Then change to Metzeler tires (sticky grip I'd term it), drop to 30.5km/L. Then now Dr. Pulley 27km/L.
