Anyone tried this cat repellant from DAISO?

I did!

Guess what.

It doesn't work!

Strong smell of BBQ sauce. Smoky wood smell that's very pungent.

I put below my scoot after covering scoot at my work place because the cats like to take shade below.

At first I put 1/4 piece and the cat Bo chup. So I put 3X1/4(3/4) 2 cats still can lay beside each other under my scooter. The package says keep away stray cats, hmmmm maybe they are not stray cats since other people feed them everyday ha ha :p

I buy the spikes thing from Daiso's gardening section.

Works for me! I tie it to the pillion seat, as that seems very comfortable for those stray/ community cats to sleep on. Haha!

Have yet to encounter cats sleeping beneath the scooter though....

What! You tied to the pillion seat so pillion also cannot seat so got excuse not to take pillion? LOL!

Or do you leave it on only when you park? What about rider's seat. You actually carry that thing about? take up space, no?

Wah you steady, wonder if there is anyone as hardcore like you :D

Good idea, must go DAISO to get the spiky stuff.

Looks like can cut to shape.

My work place cats have people feeding the cats near my scoot. So during the hot afternoon, the cats will hang and laze around undercar. Since my scoot is nearer and have a good shade under it the lay there and wait for food. There is once when I open the cover and the cat jump out giving me a scare, luckily no scratches on the seat just a buch of fur >:(

Yeap. I keep it in the top box. Haha.

The cat only likes the pillion seat. The rider seat is irregularly shaped.

The size of the spiky stuff just nice to cover the pillion seat. Haha.

Just goes to show how big the DT actually is!

To play it safe, I put that spiky gardening thing. I'm not the first one doing so though. A Yamaha FZ1 rider was the first bike which I saw doing it. Haha!

Any reason why Michellin tyres are $10 cheaper than Bridgestones?

What would be their main separating difference?

Hi Juan,

The spec from Taiwan website states 28ps@7750rpm

From what I heard, our batch of DT3 here is of this spec.

Lower power, lower rpm due to Euro 3 emission.

Thanks all, makes sense now. I was told I was going to lose a bit of top end speed but gaining acceleration when pulling away.

I had the new rollers 20 x 12 x14g for a month already and well yes the extra aceleration is there but when you go WOT the bike seems that can not cope with it, the exhaust sounds like it is overloaded for the first 3 seconds then it goes back to normal.

Just pumped 12.39L of Shell 95 (with a little overflow). 1st time broke 400km barrier...not bad at all....

WOW!!! that's over 100km more than what I get :(. This is not fair you have more power and use less fuel!!! explain that LOL!!!!!

@paithorn I have never seen the yellow warning come up on my dash board. How far can you go once the last bar of fuel starts bliking. Hang on, considering your FC I will have to divide your answer by 2 hehe.

My DT125i can do 35km/L or 98miles/UK-gallon [4.5L].

All the time full-throttle [except when slowing down/ lane splitting]. It's been raining in the late afternoons in Singapore lately, so a better set of tires is much needed.

I've just called up Regina Specialties -> They don't have stock for Bridgestones at the moment. They only have Michellins, which are $10-$15 cheaper per piece [$75 VS $85-$90].

So what is/ are their difference? I'll pop by them tmr.

My last bar blink was on at 325km this case and I rode it till 401km.

The low fuel light I have only seen twice. It came on at 375km for this tank. My guess is that it should be final 1 -1.5 litres in the tank.

I was lucky(or unlucky) to deliver my DT with no fuel - yes, I pushed bike after leaving 10 m from Kymco!! And I pumped 12.81litres that day. So I can deduce that there is still 0.5 litres more of usable fuel after this 401km tank. My engine oil is also 2800km liao - nearing a change. Whole bike stock.

Frankly, I rode normally ie always ahead of traffic when traffic light turns green. Normal speed of 100kmh average but I dun full throttle. CVTs are not meant to be worked this way. Unlike geared transmission.

Go for the Michellin, I do not have personal experience but can tell you that a lot of people in Spain are using the Michellin and give them excellent reports, What they say is that you will gain a lot more confidence when cornering.

But they're really too cheap to be true don't you think?

The authorised workshop for Kymco here, sells Dunlop at $160/piece.

Well they are good for sure and if they are cheap then that is a bonus :)

The Michellin might not last as long as the Dunlop (I am guessing). The average life span of the Michellin is 12,000km. of excellent performace in dry or wet.

Hmm. Last I heard, Dunlop aren't good for car tyres. I guess the same applies for motorcycle/ scooter tyres too right?

How fast is a tyre change then?

Seems that only the Michelin Pilot Sport SC has sizes for the DT. It states on the website that it's semi-slick. Doesn't that mean not that good performance in the wet?? Haha.

And there's a reason why those Bridgestones cost more and are out of stock at the moment isn't it?

Perhaps I should just change the front ones first. When the Bridgestone's in, I'll take that for the rear ones.

Late afternoon heavy showers is posing a danger. Haha!

Me don't recommend Michelin Pilot Sport SC (SC = Scooter)

I use to use it and it was very good in 2003/4 on my Gilera runner SP. If i remember correctly it was made in Brazil, later i use it again and found it not as good and my friend told me Michelin change from Brazil to Sovania i think (Can't remeber) So ever since i did not use it anymore. Could be the formula has change. Later found Michelin Gold Standard Very Good. Then i felt that not so good, so change to Metzeler. Then my scooter became old and had worn bushing so can't corner anymore. Then after 9 years ended up with Kymco Downtown 300 :p

Car Bridgestone also made in Thailand leah.

I will let mine dry and pump premium fuel to compare FC against the less expensive one.

Won't have much difference. In fact, it may drink more with premium fuel.

Mine did 30km/L with Premium 98 Oct, 35km/L on 95 Oct.
