I like the storage best.

No need to carry 2 helmets.

Can keep shopping bags and continue shopping.

Ha ha like shopping cart.

I even can carry a small tool box with electric pump, tyre patch kit, spanner, pliers.

I should have spent more on Givi E52 box at $220. But a used one should go for half that price.

Till now, I still dont get the price diff of $80 between a SH48i and SH45i.... [$170 VS $90]....

Can I also add that the DT does handle its weight veryy well. Despite loading it up with 3 bags - 1 projector, 1 video cam and 1 wireless mic, I barely notice the weight! That's of course excluding pillion though....

And the power from the 125cc exceeds my expectations. And the stability, is really second to none for 125cc class.

Shinko!? You are joking right.

Maxxis so far so good, don't have the slippery feeling yet.

The difference for the price between SH45 and SH48 is the looks.

I'll pay for the looks.

Haha. But there's a DT300i at driving school [instructor riding one], has Shinko tires. Haha.

Maxxis compared to Metzeler is crap lah. Haha. It's definitely worth the $199.

True about the SH45i and SH48i with regards to the looks. But next time, I'll have Givi. They have a much wider range of products. No wonder they're still the most commonly seen.

The more I see the BMW C650GT, the more I dislike the looks leah. Perhaps, I gotta see it in the real thing. What's with the rear design? Haha.

I hope by the time I get my Class 2 license, a new MyRoad will be out!

SilverWing 400: $18k OTR. That's really ex man.

T-Max 500: $21.4k OTR. T-Max 530: est $23k OTR.

MyRoad 700i: $19.5k OTR.

The choice for my Class 2 Bike in future is obvious isn't it? Hahah!

How much did your get your DT300i/ Xciting 300Ri when your bought it?

I bought mine for $12.5k.

Anyway, looking at 2nd hand ones.

Normally, any scooters for class 2 onwards, the value not as good as those below 400.

Value not as good because of the lesser demand?

If I rmb correctly, the DT125i costs $10.5k OTR without insurance.

Wow, didn't realize the T-max has issues too. Was hoping to change to that after I've got my class 2. Looks like SW has the least issue.

Here we are more hoping to resolve our clutch issue which I think is getting closer as Kymco is coming out a new clutch pad soon (I hope)

Other than that, the rest of the problem will have to see what Parotae wrote in his thread.....lol Actually I think he mention 6 Clutch being one of them.

Bike wise, the DT300 is quite good. IMO!

Go to yamaha TmAX thread, a lot of pple complaining about that bike. can't believe a branded bike so many problems. But the riders still can stand it and ride because of looks and power.

TMAX 530 looks fierce. "Nothing but the max". Looking to get the downtown 300i and hopefully no problem. Also looking at silverwing T400 but very bulky and a bit ex. But Honda scooter should be very reliable.

Yes, still love my previous SW. Let it go because didn't feel like changing all my parts away.

Brake rotors, clutch system....etc. It would have cost me about maybe $2k to get my parts change.

But other than regular maintenance, the bike never gave me any problems.

So opted for this bike instead.

It took me quite a while to see Kymco. I always trust branding. Like Honda and Yamaha, but after reading this thread tend to change my view of Kymco. Hopefully it won't let me down.

But silverwing has a lot of good feedback.. really good bike.

Haha. But too bad because of the rarity, there's no used DT or Xciting Ri for sale..... =(

No choice but gotta get brand new. But even so, the retail price is about the same as a 2-3yrs old SilverWing.... Haha!

Kymco trade in value should be very low I supposed. Only Vespa so far is one of the rar bikes when the resell value is very high... Looking to buy Downtown 300i and join you guys man...

Do you guys go seletar for a chill?? Want to see the bike man..

Lol. Go to the showroom and see all the colours of the DT there!

Haha.

Well, yeah, trade-in-values for a rare thing [but not limited edition] will always be poor, unless somehow, someone is willing to pay top $$ for a used one!

I think still got about 6 unit of 300i including burnt orange - yum yum and left 1 125i... Eh that was 5 days ago :p

After I bought, I think came 3 batches (not sure how many per batch, i guess about eight maybe more)already. Wah sell so well but never see on the road. Too bad they dont want to let other bike shop sell, if not more people will be seeing and eyeing this scoot.

Must be mostly uncle buy, cause no one come to this forum.

When I park, ah pek like to come over and chat with me, ha ha. They say very nice.

When I ride on the road, saw a few older or as old as me ha ha.

You are not but... your dad is I guess. Unless your dad very young ha ha.

Your dad is the one that like the Downtown first right.

That means we that bought downtown are ah peh too ha ha.

Then again, a lot of ah peh like super 4. Can see a lot especially at market.

They wear those strip shirt, cheapo helmet, shorts and the trade mark slippers. Some even wear boots....wet market high cut boots that is ha ha.

Going down to MotorSport Mac Pherson later to see my scoot. Accident repair (accidentally drop scoot also consider accident? Ha ha) and 1 week didn't start liao. Don't know got rust or not. Must go down to start. Try to start your scoot everyday. Ride if possible, cause earlier when I still had my old scooter to use I leave the downtown for 3 days un used and there are signs of scooter not feeling smooth. You know those feeling like your bones and muscles ache kind of feeling. Moving not smooth, engine not smooth, wheel not smooth, steering not smooth when turning. If use everyday no such problems. There are nothing wrong, just a feeling. Maybe like human must warm up all the joints and muscles :)

Most bikes are like this I guess. When too long never use.

Nope. It was I who asked my dad to first buy the DT. Haha.

Then after I got my 2B license, he handed the DT over to me, to take care of it.

He's riding a Kawasaki ER-6F.

No blue black, just elbow only.

Funny those who owned ER6 likes to own Kymco Downtown. Maybe the same price?

For transport, i've got my own driver driving me round Singapore, though I don't get to stop where I want and he only goes where he wants and drop me only when I press the bell.

I've got another scooter at home also that I use for work about 3km away.

Although I have to admit it's very tiring pushing and pedalling it. LOL!

Haha! Ok. I'll also be going down to Motorsport - one screw dropped out of the DT.... haha. I'm guessing its from the exhaust pipe.
