I saw one DT300i in dark blue just now! Am more impressed now with that two fierce looking headlight!

I didn't know the DT looked this fierce, until I saw one through the wing mirrors!

Haha!

Yes, now you know how your scoot look like if someone was to look at it in front of you.

I was riding in front of my friend with the same scooter and it looks very interesting.

What i don't like is the scoot in my rear view mirror looks like a split head due to the black triangle in the middle. Thought of changing it to white to see how it look like.

Nope, didn't get to meet him yesterday. Went off about 2pm cause it's about to rain.

COE $1900 now. I guess will go higher. Now taxi fare also going up, good for night shift drivers only. Day shift loss about $1 for every $10. 10% loss.

I thought it went up to $2300.

They should reduce rental for the taxi drivers. :p

Anyone interested to fix a radio head unit or amplifier system to their scoot?

What's your view on listening to music with the helmet on ha ha.

I feel it's better than having an intercom system with radio/mp3 function no?

Someone suggested that riding while listening to music on the earphone is dangerous then driving car with music is not? So driving with earphone is it dangerous?

I thought u already complaining not enough space liaoz.....lol

Still thinking of fitting radio system.

For me it is ok as i don't really crank up my volume (tried for fun)

Most people have a tendency to "pump" up the volume. Resulting in 2 things.

1. Cannot hear what is going on.

2. Hearing damage

Personally, i enjoy not listening to anything which also includes my phone....;)

Don't know the actual price yet.

Estimate $200++ excluding my right side floor board replacement.

cause I spray 70% of the scoot. Head, rear handle, front side fairing and lower fairing.

Only the rear side fairing and front mud guard not sprayed.

The price seems pretty reasonable. Maybe when I get sick of my current color, will spray a yellow or orange.

Then you will know how fierce the DT300 actually looks....:p

Don't know the actually price yet ha ha, just an estimate.

It could be $299.99+

Yes, i agree with you that should spray some aggressive color that match the looks of DT.

Actually there's blue for DT but never come to singapore and it is very nice. Suit the DT very well.

Looks very good.

Kawasaki green?

Ducati red?

Yamaha Blue?

KTM Orange?

Suzuki Yellow?

But I can live with the titanium color. I think it still looks unique till now....

And its really easy to maintain.... Haha

Silver though looks nice, is a really common color - seen everywhere....

I really like the silver color.... Haha!

Yes me too. Before buying, i went through the web to find the best colour and silver looks perfect for DT.

It suit the DT very well. I was considering the Silver and White.

So when Motorsports don't have Silver, White was the choice.

That time before i buy, only have White, Titanium and Dark Grey only.

When i saw Burnt Orange on the net, i also like it but cannot lah too eye catching. Good for safety but bad if people remember you for the wrong reason ha ha.

Isn't silver a new color? Haha.

I got the bike in June.... What a difference 6 months make!

Xciting 400 gonna have yellow color.... I guess that will be super eye-catching!!

Certificate of entitlement. With this certificate, you are entitle to own a vehicle. After you owned it, you can't keep it. You have to pay to keep what you buy. If you need to pay for what you bought to keep it, then you don't owned it. Then the vehicle you buy, does it belong to you?

If it doesn't belong to you, why are you paying for it? Why are you paying a full price for a vehicle that you cannot keep at home and have to pay forever to keep it?

Precisely and why must they even have COE for bikes.....grrrrr We are but such small vehicle.

Take up least space on the road and definitely causes less emission pollution than the other vehicles.

Nowadays, shopping center don't allow bikes to park. Wonder why?

I use to park in TANGS for free at orchard, then it increases to $3 per entry something like that. West mall cannot. Lucky plaza cannot. Former Ginza Plaza at west coast cannot. Great world cannot.

Is this discrimination against bikers? Because cars can park. I guess maybe that's why those don't want bikes yet don't want to look bad make bike parking very expensive.

Come to think of it, how many bikes can park 1 car lot. Say if 4. That means it is not economical to use the space to park bikes as car will cost more?

I've encounter this at HDB Carpark. Cash card parking 65cents per entry. Upon leaving at the barrier the car in front cost him 40cents and mine cost 65cents. Where is the logic fellow bikers?

People always say motorcycle can park anywhere. Yes, like the saying goes - you can do anything you want but don't get caught. Those that park anywhere are taking their chances, the question is what if there are those who don't want or don't need to take chances, is there an alternative for them?

Haha.

What I do is to display my parking coupon. I was "forced" to park on the pavement, cos there weren't any motorcycle lots liao.

Most people park along the pavement so that they don't need to pay for parking.

But if we can show that we indeed displayed our parking coupons, then I think there's a fare chance of fighting, even if we get summon.

From what I gather, W in engine oil stands for "Winter-Tested" right?

The number in front speaks of the oil's ability to continue to flow despite the lower temperatures? The lower the number, say 5W, it can flow compared to 15W where it can't flow.

And the number after the dash speaks of viscousity? The higher the number, the more viscous the oil, which means it can clean up more things in the engine since it flows slower??

W is winter, right. The smaller the number at freezing flow faster. 5W flow faster than 15W at freezing.

The number after W is the viscosity at 100 degree celcius. The lower the number the faster it flows.

30 flows faster than 50 at 100 degree celcius.

When you open the tap to wash plates, fast flow wash better or slow flow wash better.

Actually if for washing plates, faster flow wash faster and slower flow wash slower. Actually the amount of dirt clean is the same.

The main funtion of the engine oil is to lubricate and cushion metal parts, the rest are added bonuses like cool down engine, clean engine parts, prevent foaming, prevent sludge and etc...

The item that cleans up dirt is the oil filter, the thicker the oil the slower it passes through the filter.

A filter that allows a faster flow filter less particles I guess cause in order to let oil pass through faster the filter element pores need to be bigger.
