hey guys wonder if any1 encounter before when starting bike. thers a werid sound. i have to start quite number of time. went to racework that day, mech norman said it is the starter kit prblem. as the gear is wear off...mech norman said the new starter kit cost quite a bomb. so he changed the carbon for me at $95!! but my problem yet to be solve. However bike is still able to start easily only when its warm. any1 can help?

look like the starter motor is worn off quite badly..

do the mech say the copper plates around the core motor wear off too..

this will oso cause the starter motor to malfunction partially..

as the starter motor consist of a round casing, 2 set of carbon starter, one main core motor that look like tamiya motor..

one of the ways is go to scrap yard or shops that keep 2nd hand starter motor to replace the parts..

as for the comment on the change of carbon starter is kena carrot may not be true..

the price is on the steep side.. maybe when the mech open it up, the carbon do wear off so as well change it.. but the gear that stick wif the core motor is not avaliable separately..

maybe your previous owner also dont know......

for Top end, Hurricane header is good enough.

CDi?, i not sure about L model CDi can use on R model.(L model and R model is diffrent abit)

dont forget about the electricity, grounding etc

ohhhh!!!!.. paiseh paiseh.. lol..coz i noe normally change starter carbon around $70++ only.. not sure there is so many mechanical stuff involved..lol.. thanks for the enlightenment..

ahh, hey guys, my bike like super duper hot sia, after going 30km, then when parking my bike, i can feel the steam underneath n thigh area la, i never kenna this before, used engine ice last time nvr feel so much heat, now using maxima cool aide -> how come its making my bike hotter......

i knw u guys also feel hot, but got until very super hot anot ? like really steam surrounding everywhere sia.. ?

opss.....

check on EO level, my case happen was low EO.

Simply check for cooling system:-

1.Reservoir(spare water tank)

2.Radiator cap

3.Radiator coolant.

oic...so where u feel ur heat coming from? my cooling system is brand new, just changed it 3 weeks ago, but i think the coolant is not enough, will change back to engine ice.

oh..

i miss out a very important point too..

as wat fx110 mention, engine oil play an important part too.

without it, the heat of the engine cannot transfer to the coolant properly..

i feel my thigh hot too during traffic jams.. but if riding on a smooth traffic, my bike temp is at a acceptable temp..

yr cooling system is brand new?? change radiator, cap, hoses and gasket?? must cost alot..

First-Ever Cross Threads Outing

Introduction:

It had always been a practice in sbf for each thread to organise their own outings and gatherings.

And it hit upon me that instead of keeping to one thread/one make of bike, why not widen our circles and meet riders of similar interest?

As a first attempt to organise a cross-threads outing, we are inviting riders of all make, types, classes of bikes, with the link posted in krr150, nsr150sp/rr, tzm150, cbr150, babymitto, rs125, r125, nsr250, rs250, babyblade, rvf400, gsxr400, zx4, m2b threads; covering most 2b/a sportsbikes.

Main objective of this gathering/outing is for riders of different threads to meet each other, widening friendships, and have fun! =)

Althought link is posted only in above mentioned threads, feel free to invite friends who are riding other bikes as well.

Once again emphasizing this is an open-to-all-bikes event.

Destinations:

From past experiences, we decided to keep exact locations unknown to all first.

Activities would be late dinner/supper, followed by riding to a nice scenic popular hangout for couples, before punching card at that well know place for engines.

It will be on a saturday's night, and we will be expecting quite a big turn-up. Thus all hot-spots would be avoided, in our routes and destinations. Time on hot-roads will be minimized. Special parking place will be allocated. To minimize risk, card-punching would be the last destination; as late as possible.

anyway this cross threads outing is doomed to be not successful from 1st day on coz majority of big bikes definitely wont wanna mix wif 2b bikes de.. jus my opinion la.. lol

im ok wif anything since nxt tuesdae onwards gonna slog myself to death at work liao.. if u all wan, can go loyang pray pray.. or go jb there makan "zhu cao" i noe the way.. can bring u all to the clubbing scenes there to check it out also..
