hi guys..i just cbr n i veri new 2 the bike..i found out that my bike e temp meter wil hit 'H' even i normal riding..just wanna ask how to turn on the fan? wher e switch or it will auto turn on??

fan will auto cut in slightly more den 1/2 temp meter....u can install a bypass switch if u wan to..

Hi from what i know if we keep the fan running it will consume the battery rapidly as CBR 400 battery is small. I have seen using a voltmeter the charging will be very slow if the haedlight and fan running together.

Tiat tiat sound is probably your valve sound. Time for valve clearance lioz... $$$$$... hehe..

 

For temp problem:

 

1) Flush your coolant and replace with flesh new coolant, dun forget the coolant reservoir as well. (I personally prefer maxima coolaide)

2) Check that your water pump/thermostat and radiator cap are working properly

3) Change your fan switch sensor to the type that will switch on your fan at a lower temp

4) If got $$$$ change all hoses as well

 

For me, even on a hot day in a traffic light stop, my temp nv hit more then half way point.

The only temp-wise problem I have is, once I reach my destination I have wait till the fan turns off before I can turn off the ignition.

Bro Fx110 got teach me how to fix this before. But I forgot lioz. :cheeky:

I think something like connect one wire from the fan switch direct to the battery or something like that. Have to look at the wiring diagram to see. lol.

When Idding is around 11 plus and when at ard 3000 rpm it slow went up to 12V

plus but when headlight is off it will go to 13V plus almost 14V

Hi, Anyone can recommend me a shop/a friend to buy CBR400 at a reasonable price and condition?

Current Rides:

CBR1100XX(Black) - 2015

CB400 Ver. S(Tri-color) - 2012

FZ-16(Black) - 2013

 

Previous Rides:

PIAGGIO X8(Red) - 2010 to 2011

All the comment is this page I am having this problem too. Just bought mine today and when I was at gear 3 that's tiat tiat tiat sound! Am only from jurong to tuas my bike temp almost hit full.

why dont want to put a manual fan switch. on off yourself. haha.

sounds normal to me. lol. normal riding with headlights on?

maybe your headlights taking too much power.

With headlight off, your charging is ok. But with the headlights on, it not ideal but still ok. Most probably is coz you using the 60/55W bulbs. Like I mentioned before this will cause your charging to be a little weaker. One workaround is, take out one of the headlight connector and only use one bulb. Your charging should go up.

Tiat tiat sound if coming from under tank is valve sound. From the sound of it, I think your coolant finish lioz, open your coolant reservoir and take a look.

ya. buy my bike. but no cheap. lol. i just changed all my shims and needle valve & jets. sigh.

yesterday service brakes changed one pump kit and one piston. pocket big hole liao lo.

 

Ya ya, I like to wait till my fan off then I will off ignition. Many times late a few minutes coz of this. :cheeky:

hi, i bought my cbr i think more than a month from a shop, now still haven get my bike, two weeks ago they call me say the bike need over haul, still wrong with the con rods i think, wth does the con rod do? now they mechanics say they searching for the parts, cant even give me a date when it will be done, can i buy it else where? is it expensive?

its inside the engine. yes. i suppose its expensive. go google con rods and you will know how it works and why its important. hard to explain. lol. see picture easier to understand.

Guys, anyone encounter this prob before? When you open throttle quickly, got this mechanical sound from the carbs before the revs start to rise. If open throttle slowly, no such sound. Could it be the throttle cable worn out? Thanks for the help

I'm a smoker, by that i mean two stroker, someday I'd like to burn clean, but for now that power band is my nicotine.

Hmm quite hard leh haha. Sounds like the carbs are opening. Anyway, another issue is that when revs hit 9-10k, the engine starts to choke a little. Has that got to do with carb tuning? Thanks!

I'm a smoker, by that i mean two stroker, someday I'd like to burn clean, but for now that power band is my nicotine.

wha. thats quite fast. lol. i think it might be power cut. if can pass through rpm 11 then dont think its power cut. mine can reach easily to 11k+ when my mech was testing my bike's setting.

 

maybe those lao jiao here might want to answer you? lol. i not pro.
