chrome is a finish achieved by application of chromium onto a metallic surface.

if you are talking about shiny polished headers, THEY WILL RUST.

paint will never rust, the metal underneath it does.. stupid c***

They will both perform exactly the same and feel exactly the same, pick whichever you can find in the best condition for the lowest money :)

Go have a look about. Personally I would not pay more than $3500 for a fireblade or $1500 for a hurricane but that is just me :)

Hmmm...

Just curious, u said u won't pay more than $3500 for a fireblade. My instinct tells me that is the machine price. Pls enlighten me if i'm wrong.

Btw, do u have any shops to reccomand? Coz i went to like about 4 shops and all of them dun have a fireblade. :(

N how do u check the condition of it? I really dunno. Can gimme some tips on that too?

Thx and much appreciated.

cheers :)

hi again, my bike now cannot start.

when i press the ignition all i hear is "tack tack tack", there is no "crank"...

any1 got any clue? Heard pple say starter motor spoli, sum say the carbon thing in the bike wear off already...

Hi kazak

It is simple to test if it is the battery or the starter relay.

All you do is take off the left hand seat pannel & find the relay .It has 2 main wires, one is from the battery & the other goes to the starter motor, plus a red plastic connector.

Get a screwdriver & arc across the two terminals (they will have nuts on them) it may spark a bit but this is ok. This should then turn the starter motor. If it does you need a new or used starter relay.

If however the motor is still not turning over then check the wire from starter motor to the relay. As i doubt it will be the starter motor cuz mine has done 80,000 miles & still fine.

But please make sure you're battery is fully charged as a low battery will cause the relay to click & not turn the engine over.

hi, u might wanna check whether the battery is still working by switching on ur headlights. Are u able to push start the bike? this information can help us to help u.

Or you can jump lead from a car as long as you do not start the car
