hi guy i currently got involve in an accident and now i have a serious problem pls advise me on wad to do, here are all the parts tat need replace:

-fairing(except the 2 piece at the back)

-headlight,signal lights,sai tao

-meter

-oil tank

-footrest

-break pump

-all the switches (headlights,horn,etc)

-both handle bar

-clutch line,break/clutch lever

-throttle

-air duct

-front suspension

-break hose

-disc break (maybe)

 

all this are wad damage i can see.... =(

luckily i'm alive, but.....

 

1) should i repair ? and where can i get the parts ?

2) or should i scrap the bike and sell off rest of the usable parts (any1 know the $ i can get back when i scrap)

 

all senior CBR bro pls advise me and no neg comment pls (i'm still very sad over this matter)

hi bladers,

i took my bike back already. the coolent job caused $75. i know he changed a few hose but not sure is it all 7 or not. nvm..... and the good news is i asked for 400 for the rear suspension like HRCSG mentioned and seems like he is ok with it...... so soon i will be changing my rear suspenion.

 

SEASTORM, i send an e-mail to honda genuin parts and they replied me quoting for 350. but the shipment could take 90 day from japan. this is what they told la.. i din know bout the thailand thing. and i dun think that honda genuin parts witll import it from thailand and further more take 90days for the shipment.

 

 

just to share with you guys, my pipe is empty(dun by ex-owner) and i am happy with the sound, so.. any one agree for the sound?

 

i feel its shiok enough.

MSS 250-400 may not happen dis yr still to confirm yet as of 3-4 yrs I race in MSS thats wat they say last yr coz Prillia dun wana sponsor..as for mod ur bike u will nid 5K at least no kidding..fastest way get a ZX4 hehe..my CBR has HRC gearbox,FCRs,HRC Full system,HRC CDI,Race Rad still cannot b as fast as the ZX4 unless ur as rider is gud.CBR's are risky to race as they blow up easily if u dun maintain regularly as race conditions are diff.If u really wana do it just put on a race can.Do/change ur suspension,get race fairings and gud tyres juz till u get gud timing.Then we can talk other mods.

Normally made of fibreglass, much lighter than standard, cheaper to buy, cheaper to repair, none of the mounting points for lights etc included. Can also be different shape to standard sometimes.

 

Also usually has enclosed bellypan to catch the oil when you blow a hole in your engine so it doesn't get all over the track :)

I agree also get a reliable stock bike and ride until you find the limits, then get the suspension sorted so that you can appreciate the difference and feel where it improves and then try to bring your times down again. When you find the limit on a fairly stock bike with sticky tyres and good suspension, then go looking for power.

 

With just the suspension and sticky tyres you want to be going faster than most people through the corners and braking later and just loosing out on the straights, otherwise more power is not what you need.

Many thanks for the info. Could you tell me where is the shop that you are going to get your suspension done? Would like to go there to. A bit sian now coz the shop i go to... quoted me 600. :sian: I didn't mind paying a little bit extra if they do a good job... but the difference this time... is a bit too much. :faint:

in that case guys.... why not we go to this shop and do our rear suspension. i will bargain him for $400 and not more. let him earn $50 bucks la. any one else up for the offer? go to one shop and do the same job? i think we can save some cash...

Lighter and made of fibreglass..best is cost whole set is same as ur original top cowl only haha...so if u crash u dun pay so much for the OEM ones ah..also u can just use any headlite u want..OEM exp

Clearly not a usual CBR cc..but I am a new rider, and love my CRB 150cc to bits. Trying to find more riding buddies - especially people open to letting P plate riders join them for rides. Being a female rider, would be great to also meet more like minded lady riders out there. So few people I know ride.

my bike is cbr fireblade 400..i wane remove cos i want to use 4 track ah if

I agree, that's why I tend to go to the same shop to have my bike done up.

The thing about gatherings with the guys is must LL look like a bimbo during the first few meetings, coz until now i still dunno the names of some parts of my bike. :cheeky:

Hi to all.. Wat cld be the cos of rough idling. Recently my blade's idling increases to 2 k. Initial start n go is fine...1.3k then all of a sudden it increases and decreses. Not stable. This idling cos my temp to rise fast. Carb washed and synchronised recently. Plugs r fine. Any idea?

The problem arise before or after the wash of carb? Wat petrol u pump? Sg or jb? :)

Before i wash carb. Then aft wash carb a day later the idling was poor. Same. This roughidling caused my FC to go up. Im using Jb fuel now. Was using spore fuel for more than 9 mths... Now jus changed since Jan.

2002 - 2005 : NSR150SP

2005 - 2008 : CBR400RRL

2008 - : Wave S 125
