Fake Phone in Market..

Dude, there is many look-alike nokia, Iphone, SE etc etc from China selling at fraction of original pricing eg. Iphone for less than $200. Cos I bought one myself as a spare phone to play play. Another phone I bought was this Nokia 8800 at $180 only!

 

Just a warning, for unknowning customer to pay for original phone. Plus frens in china told they found phone look-alike selling at less than 1000rmb in China GZ.

 

Fake phone are buyable and usable, just dun get con by retailers.

Some dealers re-con used phone to look like new, so be careful. Sometimes when you open the battery cover, you can tell from the battery or dirt at the back.

 

As for China phones, just becareful, you pay for what you get. I have heard of melting batteries, leaking batteries and unsafe discharges. So if you use a China phone, it would be a good idea not to put the phone in your 'front' pants pocket.... could be dangerous, if you know what i mean.

Battery: Check the battery contact point to find out is it new battery..

Phone: Check the IDA seal, Warranty seal & The box seal. Make sure they break the seal infront of you. Otherwise don't buy... High chances of refurished sets... Just my 0000000000000000000000000.1 cents...

 

1 advice, for buying phone don't ever go to sim lim square/tower or lucky plaza.

i bought mine in one of the handphone shop in Chong Pang (Yishun) @ $335.

everything looked as per normal..

no chinese strokes or thai strokes on keypad..

and the box came with valid warranty..

i suppose this is okay?

 

Should be around there lo. Cuz my gf bought it for few months d. Super laggy phone. normal call, sms still ok. Comes to music player, walao.. hang like hell.. lol..

That's the problem i got last few weeks ago. My gf's phone was totally down. Took it to SE service centre, they claimed that the phone is not original n it has no warranty. We were damn angry n try to look for the shop we bought the phone where it located in Jurong east who knows the "stall" closed 2 months ago. We asked those shop which i think they are related but end up they refused to take responsible on this. WTD? Just took back to SESC , first, 17 bucks admin fee, 50 bucks for warranty fee, then after a week checking, told us 250 to repair the whole phone. Siao lo.. I might as well buy a new one? Then bo bian, took it to bugis rocher centre, there is a hp repair shop, total damage only 50bucks, use until now no problem (touchwood). lol.. Lesson learnt, do not ever buy an exp phone at those HP STALL=No Warranty (Cuz price they offer normally lower than outside market)

Last time, I wanted to get the China Hi-Phone cos it's cheap and there is a TV function. My student showed me his and from one glance, I seriously thought that it is the iPhone except when the antenna comes out.

 

The graphic quality on the Hi-Phone looks really mediocre and the touchscreen is not that sensitive so I changed my mind. Reserve booking a 16GB iPhone with M1 cos that was the time the iPhone was finally distributed to M1 and Starhub. However before it was released, I fell in love with the HTC HD2 and so bought that instead.

 

Now waiting for the HTC Evo 4G to be released locally. Recontract time coming and I want to try an Android HP next...

Last time, I wanted to get the China Hi-Phone cos it's cheap and there is a TV function. My student showed me his and from one glance, I seriously thought that it is the iPhone except when the antenna comes out.

Upz for ur HD2. My friend bought one a year back, look great n it got a lot of function. Too bad is HTC phone price drop very fast. I got one HTCtouch n it served me well before i changed to my X1 but really no resale value like the Iphone.

Tell me about it. I bought mine when it was first released late last year for $1188 without contract. Add another year extended warranty and I paid like $1.3K plus for it. Now it costs $859 without contract at Mustafa Centre. My only consolation is that for HPs, I usually use it until it kaputs on me before getting a new one...

haha.. My friend bought de HD2 around 1000+ last year. I checked whymobile.com like selling around 780. Its spec are much more better than iphone but then price are so much difference. For me, i'm not afford to buy a fancy phone. lol.. Normally one phone i can only tahan 1 year. Then i'll start mod this mod that upgrade version n so n so until it gone haywire then got excuses to buy a new one. Some old model phones i still keep until today. haha..

My HP is seriously underutilised cos I don't use the other apps except for internet surfing and movie watching...

Haha. That's the main usage for HD2. lol cuz it has a Huge screen. haha.. And good for photography too..
