passed over the stop line/pedestrian crossing

today going to school in the morning...

 

and it was raining...

 

the place was near KK hospital where the road leading towards Bukit Timah Road. That part splits into 2, one turning left and one heading straight to Bukit timah.

 

then was heading staright and didn;t notice that the camera turned amber and red. i tried to brake but bike started to go right and left, thus having to brake release and brake and came to complete stop only after like ard 1 meters from the pedestrian crossing, basically running the traffic light....

 

What i wana know is what would be the charges if TP summon me??

 

that road very popular cause every single day i see tp stopping people there and sometimes TP exit from the LTA office.

 

What would be my charges be? if tp see me if not some one go take picture and send to stomp or TP? :cry:

1.you should slow down b4 any junction.(no day dreaming)

2.any red light camera?

3.rainning you should be lucky.who will stand in the rain

4.cross your finger no ppl took your picture

normally have to wait from 2 to 3 weeks. if it was a red line camera there must be a flash. it would be a very bright flash like lightning so cannot be avoided. if tp never stop you and no flash then 99% safe already. but just incase just wait and pray. if u repeat offender must go court already.

Relax lah, I know which junction you're talking abt - there's no cam there. You think pple so free to take pics of bikers on the pedestrian junction? At that time of the morning, drivers are also rushing to work.

If you didn't proceed across the junction, that usually won't be an offence of beating the red light. If anything, it would be failing to stop at the stop line - which is less of an issue in Singapore.

P plates now no longer has the priviledge of 13 points like before.. Currently all P plates will b 12 points.. Dat means to say, if really found guilty of beating the red light, there goes the license rite?? Got such a thing say deduct 12 points still can ride with 0 point??

It's 13 points still. The rules haven't changed. If the rules changed, it would hv been publicized in the newspapers like crazy.

Thanks Cobalt bro.. Dats wat I say clarification..

 

Anyway was quite confused,, cos in the olden system P plate was 12 points but red light beating was 6 points.. Until they raised red light beating to 12 points and P plate to 13 points I thought it was reasonable.. But suddenly now they say red light beating 12 points and P plate also 12 points I thought its quite risky...

no lah. you never dash through the red light what. one i also kenna this and tp was just beside me. haha he never do anything. even if he try to take action against me i have a point to prove that i atleast made an effort to stop at the light rather than just dash through.

I believe in this scenerio.. If he had realli taken action against you and u really offer him ur explanation.. I think very likely u will still slap u with failure to stop before stop line... In actual traffic offences I donno wat will b the penalties are.. But during test if tester lenient he may only give u 2 pts for incorrect positioning.. If really want u die he can straightaway give u immediate failure for fail to stop at stop line..

 

If uncle sammie really catches us for traffic offences, my advice is, don try arguing.. Of cos explaining is another story.. The best alternative is juz apologize.. My knowledge of TPs is dat, if they close 1 eye u are ok, if they really approach u to nab u, then watever u say can b quite fruitless..

for tp most likely immediate failure. but when i ask the instructor before my tp he said "aiyah they all old man lah. cannot see properly and also got parallax error also". and yeah its true. if up approach you, whatever you say go in their left ear and come out of their right ear.
