One thing I can guarantee you, you will not get one standard answer. This is not a 1+1=2 type of question. You'll find many conflicting ideas from what the experts will be telling you. Good luck!

Anyway for my contribution, breaking in doesn't mean riding like how your grandmother would ride for the first few hundred km. So your 60km thingy doesn't help very much. You should vary your rpm.

some ppl say ride hard

some ppl say ride slow

depends on what you like

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

Just my 2 cents... i did a hard run in on my 2B bike also... whacked it to pieces.... Don drag gear yes.. but what i did was harsh acceleration as in really whack open the throttle before changing gears. Also did harsh deceleration IE down gear to make the engine RPM high when slowing down.

Other than that rode as per normal taking care not to allow the bike to cruise over 7K RPM.

Change EO when mielage reach 500 and 1000km and NEVER use synthetic... its too slippery to allow piston ring to seat properly.

After my run in period bike is powerful and pick up is good!! No problems whatsoever.

Not yet anyway.... hoho :cheeky:

for the hard breaking in, if the bike is not new its just over haul or maybe change piston and ring can also do the same thing? hard breaking in? coz i understand harsh break in for new bikes i not too bad but how abt changed parts?

Don't dress for the ride.Dress for the crash.:thumb:
