:: guys... picture this scenario in your head:

was travelling along the road behind ah joo's this morning *towards the direction of tp before making two right turns into ah joo's workshop*...

two way road right?

there was this bangladeshi worker on a bicycle in front of me *he took up the right side of the road, to the left are parallel parking lots*...

he seems to be making a right turn but seemed undecisive...

was travelling at max 35-40kmph so i horned at him with my pathetic duck horn...

suddenly this fella swerved left lah...

didnt give me the chance to stop in time as the roads were slippery *after rain mah* so i swerved more to my left to avoid head-on-butt contact...

i was inches from hitting the curb and kissing the ass of a parked lorry...

i did hit the fella on his left and he fell but no injuries...

but he claimed his butt is painful and he was definitely trembling with shock...

only thing i did was took down his mobile and he took mine...

only witnesses were this two apeks who buat bodoh only...

how ah?

he works arnd ah joo's area i guess but dunno where...

sekali he comes to little india area where i work and bring his band of brothers to whack me how~~??!

help~~!! ::

if he's ok, there's nothing for him to claim? except if he can say he suffered from shock and trauma, which is rather hard to prove. unless the witness pt finger at u i guess?

i'm glad youre alright. next time dont change numbers, a token sum would have closed the case.besides he's at fault here.i'm not being cruel ...given the situation in lil india..that place is like a human bowling alley on sundays...all of them waiting to be roadkilled by a double decker bus.

 

 

for all the tresspasses he had in the past,you have provided him traffic enlightenment.if he decides to whack you, let it be known ...

:: one thing 100% for sure there isnt any damage to him or his bicycle... only visible injury he had was a little 20cent-sized graze on his foot when he hit the road... and his continous claims that his butt was painful... my vespa's all okay.. right mirror almost fell off when i hit him.. but managed to screw back... as for me... heart stopped beating for a mere 4 seconds sia... ::

hery maes2ro...glad u r alright. dun worry too much, like modstar said...token sum will settle it all. do negotiate if he demands more than what a medical bill should cost. ask for stuff like medical bills or repair slips. chances are..he's playing his own doctor .

Cyclists, pedestrians and other motorcyclists for that matter, are highly unpredictable... give them a wide berth...

 

At the end of the day fault is hard to apportion here... (if you ask me). Bicycles have a right to be on the road too....

 

Glad you're both ok though....

we must always remember that the pedestrians are the lord of the roads.

even if we hit a jaywalker by accident, he/she can still haul us to court.

theres a clause in the traffic rules and regulation that protects all pedestrians...right or wrong. with or without witness...guys

be extra vigilant :giddy:
