If they leave you behind, then you are riding with the wrong fellows.

Ive got a mate still on his cb400, and we made him ride up front. 140 is good enough, and we were disciplined enough to not overtake.

Dont ride with me bro.. I'm impatient and ill-discplined.. And i can vouch that there are some other ill-disciplined riders here as well..

I can ride at 140km/hr but when i get bored i love to up my tempo especially on long rides. Sometimes being alone riding is a better feeling, just u and your bike with friends at a distance away..

- Before every trip, make sure there's a short briefing about the route, distance, turns, bends, etc etc.

- Experience riders will tell what to look out for.

- Before leave every petrol station, tell everyone and make sure everyone knows where the next petrol station is.

- Wait before any turns so the others know where to turn and not missed it.

- Assign a sweeper to be last man of the trip.

I dont expect people to wait behind me and follow my speed. If they wish to overtake, do so.. If i want to overtake, i do so.

aku rasa kau sorang je plate kuning kat belakang. quite clear. aku suka.

Most of us here rather throw in the extra $2-$3k extra for the FZ1. The insurance and roadtax is not much difference in price. Servicing cost is the same as a FZ1. And that extra 200cc do make a lot of difference in term of acceleration and top speed.

aku pulak prefer fz1 pasal kalau long distance travel @ 140kmh, you are travelling w lower rpm. therefore lesser long term engine wear & tear.

Agreed!!!

There are pros and cons to all this riding matters..... its all up to individual and who do u wanna ride with.

No point to ride alone and get lost along the way...... thats y we must attend the early briefings + be prepared---> self survival is important.

No point to be riding all clustered up together behind 1 bike or following 1 bike speed......

too fast---> somebody not use to the speed and loses control of their machine = danger to life

too slow --> someone might just fell asleep = danger to life

too close --> might just end up in a big pile-up together = danger to life

So we find it best to ride at your comfortable speed.... its all up to the individual.

That's a good valid point.. lesser stress to the engine due to lower rpms.

FC and top speed is not that we know as no one here rides the FZ8 other than Yanto ( R_yan_2). He is riding the naked version. He might be able to give u some insight to the FZ8N.

EVERYTHING about the fze 8 is in between the fz6 and the fz1. EVERYTHING. my fc now is better than my frenz fz1 but poorer than my prev fz6. my insurance now is a lil bit expensive than my prev fz6 but cheaper than a fren fz1 (same age lah). top speed, well since its a naked, u want to try for me? heheheh. I wwanted to have the fz1 at 1st but decided on the fz8 instead for certain long time and financial issues. my fz6 is only 2.5 yrs but has already done 160.000km. imagine that. my conclusion is if i were to get the fz1, my wallet also jialat lorr for the fuel. i am feeling the pinch for petrol now with my fze, imagine if i bought a fz1??. . everyone has their own pros and cons and needs and desire bout wat bike to choose for wat **** to do with it. as long as jangan merajok dah ok. . hahahah!!!

Interesting thing you may have overlooked.

The fz16, xj6, fz8 and fz1 are all roughly the same length, head to tail.

*scratches chin in wonder*

Motoworld price around $45 - $49 for clear. Tinted not really sure but shouldnt be far off. I think......yes you save on shipping but have to wait and the hassle of getting the minimum order...For a few dollars only. Lainlah kalau the cost savings is more than a few tens of dollars.

bro, price dah naik ah.. smlm gi motoworld & they quote $55 for clear, tinted takde.. lpas tu gi unique plak, hampa bila stock untuk fz1 gen1 dah abis..

Dont mind me bro.. Ur using the lense as protection or cosmetic? U going to use it for long distance?

Length not important. Wheelbase makes a difference.

Yup.. That's why i didnt bother about head to tail length.

Ni pendapat aku. Nak touring jgn pkai tinted. Too dark.

Totally agree with that. If for touring ur main purpose is to protect rhe glass from flying stones n debris.

Using a tinted headlite wld reduce the brightness n shining distance of the light. Both is a hazard on bike tours especially at night.

Tinted more for cosmetic purpose. LTA also not approved. $70 fine if they wamt to find fault. More to make the bike look nice only.

X 2 on that tinted lense..

Clear is better. Especially for touring purposes. It'll help against small stones from hitting your headlights assy lense.

No point buying a tinted lense protector and u have to remove it because the light projected is too dim for you in night rides.
