and your riding style matters.

if u keep every gear also let it 'open valve', of coz the bike will suck petrol like a running tap. :sian:

sometimes jetting plays an important part to... i think most likely if ure riding style is ok then its about the carb..... i got this same problem b4, a mech from JB did tuning for me by changing the jettings and i find that my mileage is getting worse...

lol i also, just got my license few days ago. petrol like very fast finish leh . zz.

New riders like to "whack" their bike so finish fast?

Still not super experienced but $15 on esso 8000 would mean full tank which is abt 8.5l depending how much reserve u used rdy.. If 100km gonna finish= ur FC per L is 100/8.5=11.76km/L I believe even for our SP bros that like to "whack" and play.. FC also should be around 16-17?

Possible probs

1) ur bike a lot of mod lower ur FC

2) ur bike in need of servicing

3) U whack every single time u ride

4) U only travel small road?

5) ur tank leaking? (this one i randomly thinking off my head)

travel small road or nearby places also might be the case.

i travel nearby to work full tank sometimes 180-200. but when i on course need to travel v far i can get 240-260 on a full tank.

quite a big diff.

too little petrol will causes piston ceased or jam also, so u have to get the tuning correctly, u should tell ur mech wad is ur normal ridding speed or ridding style so tat they can estimate wad setting to set for u

too little petrol or insufficient 2T? i dont think petrol will cause the piston to jam.... does it?

at first i also tot it was 2t tat always causes piston problems, but i found out from my mech that petrol is also another cause of it, petrol acts as a source for lubricant as well

petrol cause piston jam?????? if less fuel cause piston jam, then running a bike dry and out of fuel would also cause the piston to jam rite?

maybe will not jam immediately...but will cause wear to ur piston...like my bike...jett small, piston wear off faster...

does a "tong" pipe play a diff in fc?...coz my frenz hu tong-ed,can reach 280km...but mine only abt 200km

For me, I record down to my notebook everytime I fill New petrol. This is what i get from full tank to reserve tank...

Esso 8000 - 270km

Caltex 95 - 220-250km

V-Power - 210km

The Knob on the left side i open 3/4 way rather then full (Dunno it makes diff)

I Love Caltex... Very Smooth engine...

tong belly is basically removing the stopper inside. compression will decrease hence leading into slower pickup. however on the higher side, it performs much better. rpm will feel alot lighter. fc wise, it doesn't really affect much. depends on your riding style actually.

I used to top up SPC ulg95 and will last abt 190km den will hit reserve tank..

Normally after 110km, the bar will point at half tank liao..

but I recently just pumped Shell V-Power from JB..

Already travelled 113km, but it still got 3/4 tank left

Pls don't tailgate or stalk moi.:thumb:
