try this bikeshop. i ever see them selling gsxr400 with new paintwork.

sin boon motor 62578404. its @ woodlands. northlink building, #01-10/11.

i dont like their shop cos they charge you material then labour charge.

meaning selling price same as outside but they add labour charge! labour charge they say how much means how much...

hi guys... wanna ask where can i get a K&N air filter for my g4

thanks thanks all for your opinions.

amir , how you define "lasted 2 months"? after 2 months soft again or spoil or?

and estimated how much is the spring alone? got any particular brand to look out for? or must buy stock spring?

sorry im noob to g4 lol

i bought secondhand ones, lasted 2 months... it became too soft... if u want, get a cheap cheap cheap one like 50bucks then send for rebuilt... but must go to a good shop and also tell the guy upon collection if leak again i find u ah... but in a joking way so if anything happen and u go back to him he wont say stupid stuff like u never look after or the thing actually no hope whatsoever... im not sure which shop to go too, ill check if out and get back to you guys... as for air filter, i forgot what the model number is but its K&N air filter used on a suzuki 750, forgot which bike... google it...

KS motor is just a distributor for suzuki selling original parts, not workshop. actually there's a few in spore. guan hoe is an autorised workshop for suzuki. if you want to change new major parts, can try there cos some parts they give warranty. look for the boss.

Hi Ben,

The guanHoe @ Rangoon rd ? seems like a showroom cum office.... how about the Guan Hoe Cheong along seranggon road after st george road... ?

rangoon road is the place where they store the parts...no idea where the service center is shifted to already...autobay?...guan hoe cheong is another shop..its not the suzuki authorized service center

hey ben.in your opinion ks motor sell parts cheaper or guan hoe.

and im planning to go planet on monday. took the day off jus for it. need to make appointment ma ?

i know u're directing ur qns towards ben...but well..thought maybe more opinions might give u a better idea..i had gone to KS motors for parts as well as to guan hoe...if u just wanna get the parts and DIY...i would suggest going to KS motors because u can get the part immediately provided they got the stock...if u were to go to guan hoe's workshop and ask for parts..u might need to wait around half a day for ur parts to arrive...but if u need someone that u can trust to fix your bike and you don't have the parts...go down to guan hoe..usually if u get parts + labour at the same place the rate will be better than u bring ur own parts to another shop..they'll charge u more labour fees

haha, like what bro gravity said, i agreed. unless you diy or you got a trustable mech then you buy from ks motor. if you dont have a shop that can help you, i'll suggest you go straight to guanhoe. oem parts+very exprienced boss. he's been dealing with g4 for many x2 years. you dont have to worry being chopped, his reputation is good. if just wana fix simple parts, go planet. i will suggest if you are touching the engine / carbs go guanhoe. why not you call or go planet tml to confirm eveything b4 you go on monday? wait wasted your day. btw, what you gonna do there? forks? there's a very old thread on how to get it approved in this site. try search. as gsxr400 dont have approved exhaust in spore. maybe you need to order online, cert provided, ship here, bring to lta, put it on, go for inspection, then its approved after they take photo & serial no bla bla. someone has done it before but not on a g4. i ever thought of doing it but whats the point for aftermarket exhaust? for cars, i think its for that sound only. anyway, i'm quite happy with my stock exhaust sound!! lolx.

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you just want it for the sound, there're easier and cheaper ways.

bro yoshitel, i'll like to meet you for a test on my g4 & see your opinion.

next mon-fri after 6pm, anywhere, you name it, i go down. will treat you for coffee or whatever.

went to guanhoe, he said i've change parts in carbs somewhere else & if still got problem, he's not able to help me unless i go for overhaul. so i've decide to order o-rings online, keep it. find someone pro like you to test it out. if you think its ok, i'll just pray my plugs work till my next oil change. right now i'm just feeling from idle to 2.5k, its abit sluggish when moving off.

I was thinking of dropping by Norman's place sometime next week too.

But I'm not a pro, just had a couple of GK76s and it's associated fair share of problems. The idling speed for your bike should be below 1500rpm anything higher...

ya, its slighty below 1.5k when fully warm up = very x2 hot. this carb problem is almost on every g4. i think just need to get it perfect is not easy. this guy stripes1976 in 400GB sounds so pro. has help saved alot of g4 in uk, in his sig, 6 gk76s, lolx.. if i can get a carbtune, i may try strip it myself rather than let others do it, anyway, its just a matter of workmanship & time. just imagine, pay $80 once to strip, wash & put back without changing anything. 2times i think can get a brand new carbtune online. @ least if anything happen to it, its my own fault. sound crap... lolx.

dont know whether its my problem or bike got problem, thats why i'm looking to let you test out. after 1/4 throttle (pass 3.5k rpm) sound loud & strong. so was wandering if its the mixture screw. read online, 1/8 - 1/4 throttle got problem, mostly lies on that screw. suzuki manual says 1.5 - 2turns out. from what i know mine is now 3turns out. 4turns is max (rich)

maybe you can pm me when you going. if weekday, i'll try to make it.
