haha, like what bro gravity said, i agreed. unless you diy or you got a trustable mech then you buy from ks motor. if you dont have a shop that can help you, i'll suggest you go straight to guanhoe. oem parts+very exprienced boss. he's been dealing with g4 for many x2 years. you dont have to worry being chopped, his reputation is good. if just wana fix simple parts, go planet. i will suggest if you are touching the engine / carbs go guanhoe. why not you call or go planet tml to confirm eveything b4 you go on monday? wait wasted your day. btw, what you gonna do there? forks?

thanks for advice all ^^ been really helpful. haha.

i gg there to check my front fork. and my rear suspension really dead . the tension like bouncing on a king coil mattress zz abit dangerous when i riding . and if got pillion life threatening.

ya, its slighty below 1.5k when fully warm up = very x2 hot. this carb problem is almost on every g4. i think just need to get it perfect is not easy. this guy stripes1976 in 400GB sounds so pro. has help saved alot of g4 in uk, in his sig, 6 gk76s, lolx.. if i can get a carbtune, i may try strip it myself rather than let others do it, anyway, its just a matter of workmanship & time. just imagine, pay $80 once to strip, wash & put back without changing anything. 2times i think can get a brand new carbtune online. @ least if anything happen to it, its my own fault. sound crap... lolx.

dont know whether its my problem or bike got problem, thats why i'm looking to let you test out. after 1/4 throttle (pass 3.5k rpm) sound loud & strong. so was wandering if its the mixture screw. read online, 1/8 - 1/4 throttle got problem, mostly lies on that screw. suzuki manual says 1.5 - 2turns out. from what i know mine is now 3turns out. 4turns is max (rich)

maybe you can pm me when you going. if weekday, i'll try to make it.

hey you have suzuki g4 manual? can send me? thru email.? or where can i dl it from

$900 for a stock rear suspension? I'll go for an Ohlins or Maxton, it's just a mere hundreds more.

Magnets on oil filters have little use from an engineering perspective. The filter is designed to hold back particles in the engine oil, there shouldn't be any or any significant amounts of metal in there unless something is seriously wrong with your engine!

Also, GK76 core engine components are mostly aluminum which are non-reactive to magnets.

Why white? Unless you're going HID, white halogen bulbs produce lesser lumen but appear brighter because of the higher kelvin.

i passed my inspection with white light bulb. but i've changed them out as it was quite consuming power. if you want, come find me. i sell you cheap x2. fyi, i inspected my g4 @ pioneer (near tuas)...

i think thats nothing special cos you wont be seeing it. its others, some may even curse you... lolx.

The average halogen bulb produces 1500lm with the higher end ones like Philips Extreme Vision and Osram Nightbreakers producing 1750lm and the average HID produces 3500lm. The more lumen the brighter it is.

Given that the average halogen bulb produces light in the 4000 kelvin range and the average HID produces light in the 5000 kelvin range, the advantage of the latter is it illuminates road markers and signs better. The higher the kelvin, the lesser light is actually on the road.

so actually, HID is much better?

Provided you have the right optics. HID bulbs come in 2 types, projector or reflector. Both are not bolt on fit for the GK76K.

If you really want HIDs for your bike and yet do not want to cause glare to other road users, you'll need a projector kit which involves drilling into your existing headlight unit and installing a heavy ballast unit. Due to the nature of HIDs, they are not suitable for high beams as they take a while to fire up and stabilize and I am not aware of a bi-xenon HID kit.

Another cheap option is to use a higher wattage bulb. Like a 80W Philips Rallye. But you gotta monitor the harness and lens optics.

i used to have 2 HID on my G4...but if u're having two HID bulbs on it..there'll be a chance that one of the bulb won't light up during the charge up stage...to solve it u just need to wait for one bulb to be fully charged up..turn off the headlight and turn it on again and the other will start to charge...i think it really adds pt to the aesthatic...and if u frequent msia..it'll be useful...if u worry about inspection..just buy those HID with halogen lowbeam

ok HID with halogen low beam.

does a ballast needs to be installed? or jus change the bulbs?

any particular brand i could refer to?

how much does it cost and will it disturb the balance of the voltage of my g4
